The stuff in the sale is of passable quality, just like their non-sale items, but is apparently still a little expensive, just like their non-sale items, but to a lesser degree.
That's the word on the street, anyways.

The bottom stitching on a friend's Rapha jersey rear pocket came undone under zero stress. That's not quality.
Assos is the way to go.

Those 3 caps were designed by myself as was the paisley scarf.
It was a freelance project I did at the beginning of this year.
I'm really chuffed with how they've turned out.
The object was to look outside of cycling at some traditional (mainly British) accessories and garments and develop them towards cycling.
Not to everyone's taste for sure but the finish is exceptional.
Check out all the labels on the inside too... -

awesome work Todd, seems a shame that Rapha's going to reap the benefits of your work, but a truly nice bit of kit!

It was a pleasure working with the guys at Rapha.
They were very interested in my ideas and wanted to do them justice.
It's expensive stuff yet the effort that goes into sourcing fabrics, treating them, testing them etc is second to none.
I very much doubt a small brand would be able to achieve this level. The original wax cap I made was from Barbour waxed cotton which I lined with a wool plaid.
Very awesome but we knew a lighter, breathable wax cloth had to be sourced and was successfully. The feather hat was based on a molded wool feather trilby. Grey wool with silk ribbon but with feather embroidered instead of pinned in.
I was also hoping they'd do a paisley cap version of the scarf print but I don't think anyone's ready for that...
Don't know prices but you can imagine.

I have not seen the design of the paisley up close, but thats well clever Todd...
See this and all the other items from the Rapha 2009 range modelled by our very own disco james.

waxed cap! That's a fucking great idea for winter, I'm so in.
I hear Raphas good but expensive. I imagine there will be one or two people showing up for this sale?
