Yep - and surrounding areas

If you run hot, winter base layer may be too warm.

Bloody useful, especially combined with a PTJacket. I love mine.

Hope I can fit a glued stretched folded tubular in the seatpack ..
I'd be surprised.

Got my Wind jacket today and seems to be a really nice pice. Will try it tomorrow with a LS Jersey if this is warm enough for 5°
-
• #19207
Just layer up. But baselayer and jersey should be enough. I've ridden with the wind jacket in -10.

I tend to run pretty cool, but ride quite hard which somewhat counterbalances my natural state.
Gave it a punt though, fingers crossed!

I love it

how breathable is the hi-viz gilet ? just received my order and it feels surprisingly plasticky
-
• #19211
never really had a problem with breathability - well actually I have, but only on days I really should have left it at home it was so warm, and then the zip sorts out that whole problem..
-
• #19212
Well if so even better. I doubt that the usual LS Jersey + LS Baselayer is warm enough for me, but if so the Wind jacket will go into the pocket.

This is the best cool-weather, insulated but breathable gilet:
http://www.assos.com/en/19/singleProduct.aspx?cat=6,19,28&prod=431
Available in red / blue / white / yellow for high-vis, or black.
In another league compared with the Rapha and Castelli vests (tried the Fawesome which had no rear pockets and the fit wasn't quite right, and the Rapha ones never appealed). Street price is £179, but wait until Wiggle have a discount offer, and it can be had for under £100.

Even £100 is ridiculous for a gilet. They're all breathable through the four large holes you put person through. Mesh backs come with thousands of the fuckers.
HTFU and count yourself lucky you've got more than a newspaper against the wind.

If you start overheating in a gilet you just take it off and put it in your back pocket, don't you?
-
• #19216
Yep. Unless you spent too much on something overbuilt and overfeatured to the point it doesn't fold down :-)

I'd be surprised.You can

Deep winter tights are nice , but after one ride the stitching is coming away on one of the panels :( how long will they take to repair & return ?
-
• #19219
Are they newly bought? If so, you should be asking for a replacement pair or refund.
-
• #19220
Yes only had them 3 days & one ride , will call on Monday

If anyone's looking to get rid of a hardshell in L, I am in the market.
-
• #19222
Might be. I have a navy blue one which may be surplus to requirements once the new orange one arrives.
-
• #19223
Cool, cheers, keep me posted.

Looking at swapping my 2014 PTJ Small in blue against another color if anyone is interested!

I take it all back - transfer jacket was perfect for late ride home today. Toasty.
By UK, do you mean London?
