Transfer jacket is a regular staple on chilly days for my thrice weekly 3 mile commute. Works brilliantly. Never consider it on even the coldest days for my twice weekly 13 mile commute.

On top of wearing your gilet too!

Ha, I saw someone descend tre cime in one.

I was pretty close to tre cime, if it was near the end of august it might have been me!

popped in the store on sunday, £3 pounds for an americano!... definitly not nice and pricey
-

Given they do a proper filter, why the hell did you get an americano?

Fair enough, I stand corrected about the on-bike utility of the transfer jacket. I was rather glad of mine walking to a pub for dinner in the Scottish Highlands in September, but the one time I've worn it on the bike, I boiled. Although maybe if the temps start testing freezing I'll try it out again...

Just pulled the trigger on a classic Jersey with arm warmers in blue. Will have to see how sizing turns out as went for a men's small in the end so it's a bit of a gamble but hope it'll be alright!

I really appreciated mine on the commute yesterday! I've not seen the vulpine clone is person, but they market that for being used on the bike. Is it much different (less primaloft maybe?)?
It's also good at lunch times as it functions well as a normal jacket when grabbing some lunch.

From Vulpine's site -
Suitable for fast paced riding in freezing temperatures.
Suggested temperature range -2°C - 12°C.Which is basically how I feel about the transfer jacket. If you're going to ride hard, you'll boil unless it's baltic out...
But I do like it. Even if I feel like a poseur wearing it.

I experimented commuting with the transfer jacket today and as someone else said, it's fine for 3-4 miles in these temps but after that I had to unzip quite far... Will stick with PTJ until things drop further.
Can't imagine doing any hard riding in it at all!

Good spot. I do get warm in it I must admit! But it's thin and quite breathable so I don't find I get the boil in the bag effect.
Assuming all the other rapha stuff feels just as nice I think my credit card limit will need to be increased!!

Got a transfer jacket for me birfday and I'm impressed, lovely jacket. Not that pricey at 130 notes, especially looking at Barbour

Why do they take so long to dispatch orders? Four working days (and counting) is a joke for an online company these days.
-
• #18573
Because there was a sales going on.

Just got a Hardshell for £150 off Bikeradar, BNWT. Wanted one for a while so looking forward to it.
Do people tend to just wear a base layer underneath? -

Considering how warm it is, probably nothing.
It was definitely riding clothing when i was descending from the dolomites (in august!)
