We were chatting about this last night on a ride. Sidis are worth the sometimes imperfect fit for a lot of people as they are just so ridiculously stiff/durable.

Well, for the Mens Pro Team stuff, it does fit aero skin tight, i guess "like an 80's catsuit".
For the womens souplesse, my understanding is that it is the womens version of the Pro Team stuff (If i'm incorrect, i do apologize).
If you don't have a Pro Team type body (regardless of XS,S,M,L,XL,XXL) then you don't really belong in Pro Team gear... Stick with the Classic items as they are a more relaxed fit.
Give Rapha your body measurements and your feedback, and see what they say.

I think I just run hot, but I'm commuting in a mesh ss and city wind jacket at the moment

They don't need my body measurements, some of the guys there are friends of mine. If they are catering for only supreme beings rather than normal people why the hell do they even have garments made in L let alone XL?
I repeat - I still don't understand how, when they state that a garment will fit chest size 102cm, the actual garment measures up at 94cm across the chest.
Fit nonetheless, their sizing is extremely inconsistent.

The women's Leather Town Gloves suffer a similar issue. They're sized for children. My GF is Xsmall in the mens GT gloves, and winter gloves and even a medium in the women's is far too small. The sizing on the website bears no relationship to the gloves for sale at all, as according to that she'd need a small.
Obviously first world problems, but they're not cheap, so you'd expect somebody in Rapha to have actually checked the size of the gloves before creating the webpage sizing chart. It seems they just couldn't be bothered.

you can always go try stuff on.. or order 2 sizes and return 1.

Well, actually you can't. My GF tried to buy the leather town gloves during the Women's 30% discount. The store didn't have anything larger than a medium in stock, which are sized for children... And she was recommended to order Large & XLarge through the website by store staff. Unfortunately, XLarge don't actually exist.

This so much, Sidis are the only one that fit so well in Mega without having such a long body.
I quite like to have something lighter and made of carbon than the Dominator Mega, but there's nearly nothing else to choose from.

I would like to try a pair of Mega variant Sidi Dragons, however I suspect I'd have to order them online.

The new merino crew neck t-shirts look lovely. not too pricey.

Any Sidi retailer will be able to obtain them for you.
I've only ever had Megas, and Condor actually held them in stock when I bought them. -

Condor and Sidi parted ways a long time ago now, I ca.n't think of any Sidi retailer in the centre of London now

Fitzrovia?
-
• #18416
How odd. CycleSurgery & Evans both used to sell Sidi too. P'raps Sigma's the place now?
-
• #18417

Perhaps ask (them) during opening hours...

Is the material of the blue transfer jacket glossy or matt? The 'epic' black and white photos on the rapha site make it look very shiny, the simple colour shots appear matt. Any ideas?

I picked up a pair of zebra coloured Giro Codes for £90 from Evans back in June. They are so so comfortable!
-
• #18421
can you not mix and match with the base layers? I got 2 ss merino and one long sleeve but its not applying any discount?
-
• #18422
Only in store dude.
-
• #18423
Ah hoped it'd be warmer for chilly riding. My polartec jacket is so warm, too warm. Thought without sleeves would be good.

Fitzrovia definitely stock Sidi's.

Hi Zerostar, it's a matt, stretch material, same as '13. When the product launched in '12 it was glossy and non-stretch, which is where the b/w location shots are from.
£100 or less. They are good, but they are < Dominators or Fives.
Fives? Eagles.
