Any strongly held views on the merits of the wind jacket vs the rain jacket?
I am tempted to think the wind jacket is the one to go for. It won't keep the rain off but presumably in all but close to freezing conditions it will keep me warm albeit wet. In truly awful cold and wet weather where the rqin jacket would be a better option there is little prospect of me actually riding for a sustained period. I am not paid to do ride after all!
Make sense or am I missing something?

Think Wind Jacket is too thin for cold weather unless you layer up. I personally would get wind jacket as I run hot. Also will get a reasonable water proofing. Not full.

I carry my wind jacket loads. As its nicely breathable I dont hesitate to chuck it on when Things get chilly. I've previously carried a rain jacket that I never used. I knew I'd sweat it out horribly.
For proper changable stuff I've worn a sleeveless merino base under my jersey, and carried Wind jacket + merino arm warmers. You can ride in Comfort despite a massive temp drop just having those small items on you.

Anhyone have a Country jersey and a Club jersey? Intertested in how they compare fit wise at the same size as one is a winter top and the other a thinner warm weather top.

In short-sleeve form the Country is lighter and cut slightly slimmer than the Club, going by mine (which are both from a couple of years ago). Country is full-length zip too.
I think the long-sleeve Country jerseys follow the long-sleeve Winter jersey style. Which are always a little thicker than the equivalent short-sleeves.

i thought the country jersey was half zip? looks that way in the photos anyway..

I have both in small. Country Jersey is a lot smaller around the neck and a bit tighter in general. Do they still make an SS Country Jersey? Zip length is the same.

^Yes, the version I have is half zip.
^^ I did mean the LS version which is why I was wondering about differences in fit. I can get a thicker base layer under mine which helps when it's cold but I'm just on the M/L crossover so wondering if the M Club jersey would be too tight. -

Hm, yes, they've changed it. The older version that didn't have the flag stripe across the chest had a full length zip. This year's are short zip. So I'm not sure what else they've changed in terms of cut or material or whatever.

Thats what put me off getting one seeing a half zip on a FS jersey just didnt sit right with me.

^ TBH that's the only thing I don't like about mine. Makes heat control a bit hit and miss.

Zipps cause annoying folding though. I'd prefer half zip on winter stuff.

Anyone with a brevet SS jersey find it comes up much bigger than other jerseys of that size?

If anyone has a blue S and would rather a blue Xs i would swap, only worn mine once so far

I have a new large in blue and feel a medium would d have been a better fit as its a bit loose round the arms and bunches over the chest when in the drops. Wondering if a few 50 degree washes will rectify this.
All classic / club / lightweight jerseys in large are a great fit.
The large super lightweight is pretty much vac packed for contrast.

Why no touring shorts in sale? - mine are 4 years old and finally starting to die. Also, has the design changed since then? Got to be close to the best bit of cycling kit ever.

Best bit of cycling kit ever… And you're still not prepared to pony up the money for them?

'cmon, everyone loves a bargain. I bought them in a sale originally and I thought they'd be included as nearly everything else is, apart from jeans and trousers. Oh well.
FWIW I'll happily pay full price because they are excellent, but I'll offset that with savings on other items.
The cut and materials haven't changed have they? -
