  • Thanks all for the feedback...

  • Really growing to love my LS polo. Would recommend.

  • I sized up in the jeans and had the waist altered.

    Promuter thighs/custom fit.

  • Just bought so pro team socks in wanky yellow. The match my club kit, shame my bike, shoes and helmet don't :(

  • Not sure about their new campaign.

  • city riding?

  • yeah razors are shit, JD bug all the way

  • I got a little present from Rapha today.

It's a book with all their stories from labels etc in it. It's nice and wasn't at all pricey.

  • Bugger, missed out on the bloody free shirt as booked just after midnight last night :( Looking forward to seeing what the team pro is like....

  • I ordered some pro team mitts. The missing leather on the arch between the thumb and the index finger means that section will last about a week. So I thought bugger this I'm returning them. The returns sheets says I'll get about 15 quid back for them...so looks like I'll keep them...

Interested in the classic mitts however, durable?

  • If you return them within 90 days you'll get a full refund. Ignore the returns page, it sometimes wigs out and calculates the return amount wrong if you used a discount code or bundle.

The free t-shirt is crap, you didn't miss much.

I've got the old classic mitts and they've been really good.

It took about 500 miles for the leather to soften a bit and fit my hands so they were a little uncomfortable at first but now they're amazing.

I've done around 6,000 miles in them and they're holding up just fine.

  • I got the GT mitts for cheapsies on eBay and they've taken a fair bit of breaking in. The leather is amazing but they're really hard to get off post ride for a few weeks.

  • ok thanks for the tip

  • I have the GT gloves and yes they're great. After about 30,000km they stink even after washing. I've had them repaired locally twice. They're the best by far, but the new price is out there.

The pro team gloves seem rubbish in my opinion. Not putting leather between thumb and forefinger is a major design flaw. That section is one of the most heavily rubbed parts. The GT gloves have extra padding there.

  • Survey time with a 20% discount code. On pay day. Happy days!

  • Arse. I put in an order last night with the 15% code. Oh well.

Not sure about their new campaign.

No would have been moar Wapha if he'd kept the beard.

Also that rain jacket isn't actually waterproof any more, neither is mine.

It seems there is only so much Nikwax can do :(

  • I was wearing some rapha kit in the office yesterday = plus 4s and a womens t. one of the 20-somethings told me they liked my US skater girl look... apparently it was a compliment. :)

    code?
It gave out a generic code last year, so no need for us all to do the survey!
    :o)

I guess being the pro team ones they assume you'll just wear them for one race then chuck em away :)

  • I had a look at the gloves, they look nice but they don't have the loops to pull them off easily, which is a feature that I really like.

You wouldn't be able to pull them off with loops as the leather grips your hands too tightly. You need to grab them at the wrist area and pull them inside out to get them off.

Great gloves, I have two pairs both bought very cheaply.

Agreed - I bought some and they are a pain to get off
I think their sizing is out too, measured my hand twice and ended up with very snug gloves, would probably have been better with next size up

  • I think the GT gloves are up there with the base layers in terms of being one of the best products Rapha does. I've a white pair, that are 6 years old at least, that are still going strong (if a little grubby) and a black pair that must be 3 years old now and look as good as new.

They are slightly difficult to get off, but really, life is too short to worry about how long it takes to remove a pair of gloves after a bike ride (about 30 seconds all in if you must know).
