  • ^ so true.

Wearing Sky branded Rapha is literally the same as killing Milly Dowler.

  • Read that as David Millar on my first pass.

  • Great just when I have the code there are no more pro team mitts in stock.

  • Which base layers are best? Merino, merino mesh, or pro team?

Pro Team. Merino is good for colder weather, or if you're not sweating much. Synthetics will smell after use, but perform better at wicking sweat and keeping you dry. Merino doesn't smell so is useful for commuting etc, if you want to wear the same base layer each day. I use both for different things. Check out Craft mesh base layers on Wiggle and other brands for merino too. Not Planet X / On One; their merino sucks.

They are ok, but very flimsy. One good summer of riding and they could be toast.

  • For the next week, we're pleased to offer 20% off the entire Rapha Women’s collection (excluding bundles) to help all participants prepare in style for the Rapha ‪#‎womens100‬. Simply enter code WOMEN100-20 at checkout to apply the discount.

    oh hellooooo

  • looks like the pro team jacket is on sale atm and the discount code takes it down to £110.50

    that's pretty bargainous no?

  • That is a complete bargain.

  • buys three

  • V cheap. Goonz, don't get the gloves - they're really not that special. Get some Giro LX. They are incredible. Really really very good.

Unnghh, must resist. Do not need.

  • Didnt realise they had a sale on, might buy the cross transfer jacket...

anyone know what the sizing is like?

  • I wanted the normal transfer jacket. good price, I thought, until I saw it only applied to orange.
    hrumph.

    so much this.

Didnt realise they had clearance on normal also, i could live with orange..

Gah that is seriously tempting, but again do not need.

+1 here. the LX mitts have more padding than the gloves but both are great. If you are after something for summer, get the mitts.

Fair enough, save me some dorrah. I already have the Giro which are lovely mitts but are a pain to wash with the velcro and leather. Guess I should use my rapha mitts from a few years back which are still in their packaging. They are so nice though I cant bring myself to ruin them!

  • I still dont understand the point of the hooded wind jacket? why is it £30 cheaper than the regualr wind jacket, is the material different making it a bit boil in the bag?

  • The Hood slows you Down. Speed costs.

  • how much would i have to pay if i cut the hood off then?

  • I still dont understand the point of the hooded wind jacket? why is it £30 cheaper than the regualr wind jacket, is the material different making it a bit boil in the bag?

It's a different material I think, the hooded wind one looks more breathable but possibly less wind resistant

  • the hooded merino top looks class, pity all sold out.

Or GRIPPP, they made the Team Pro glove felt cheap.

Yes, it's made of a much thinner material. Seems like a more casual jacket than something you would wear on a road bike.
