I bought the pink rapha overshoes and the pink hi-viz gilet.
The trouble up here is that as its so amazingly dark even those out walking their dogs on the pavement often have a reflector hanging out of a pocket, or even a reflective vest on. So a bike with a few LED lights gets visually lost.
I was thinking of bringing it for a 24 hour sportive. But I reckon the windjacket will take less space packed, and offer a greater comfort range.
It still seems a nice bit of kit. Which I will use loads. Especially now I have a selection of arm warmers. Its just a bit stiff, and warm for my initial plans.

I think the hi viz gillet is more designed for commuting. The gillet with the brevet jersey is better for longer/higher tempo rides as it appears to be the same material as the wind jacket, lighter, more breathable and still keeps the wind out.

Considering how packable the windjacket is. It was probably a smarter buy for me anyway.
I went out running in the middle of one of those nasty UK storms over Xmas. Needed to pack light. So I'd taken the Rapha windjacket. It got saturated within minutes. But I wasnt in any way cold.

I think some of us need to put pics up all fully kitted out in our gear so the others can
laugh atsee how cool we all look. -

I tried the pink high viz gilet outside the jacket trick once for a murky morning spin but luckily I caught sight of myself in the mirror on the way out and changed before I was spotted by anyone

Wonder if there is a Hi-Viz pink aero helmet cover available anywhere...

More praise for the Gabba jersey. I have now used it in different conditions, rain, cold headwind, uphill, downhill, rain and it always feels the same! At the current warm
temperatures one merino baselayer is enough, so I guess with a second one it will cover all of Londons winter conditions. -

Got the winter bundle for Xmas, first go with it today. Obligatory review:
Hat is superb.
Snood / collar is amazing. It feels like wearing a hug from a buxom beauty. Really well shaped to cover your neck and chest but be a bit tighter around the face, unlike cheaper ones. However, it is now a bit manky after breathing into it / getting various body fluids over it all morning
Oversocks weren't warm enough for today, should have known before I went out. Can't see them getting much use, but I only got them coz they ended up only costing about a tenner in the bundle with a refer a friend thing (I was gonna get the collar and hat no matter what). Buying them in white was a bit silly... they look a bit like used toilet roll now.

I've been wearing a hi viz safety tabbard over my softshell. It cost £3 and is size Child 9-11. I'm expecting jealousy from the Raphaphiles.

Brave used it a few years ago.
Yeah, it's thinner and simpler. Half mesh on the back, no pockets.
