I ordered a base layer from Planet X last week. That was the nail in my Rapha coffin really.

I hate torm. Never liked those copying cheats.*

FYI - PX are currently doing 3x merino baselayers for 59.99. That's 3 for less than 1 Rapha one. Ouch.

Not torm.

Im a member and I own Torm. Oops...

Apparently it's a total spend of over £3000 equivalent. This is what the people in the Raphael Cafe San Francisco told me. They also said that was a lot of money for a black and gold cap.
This could be plausible
Just had my free coffee card through...though I don't think I've spent £3k
The Imperial Works exclusive gear isn't up to much, nice but not worth buying if you already have the normal equivalent clothing (ie: Pro Team Bibs vs the Imperial Works vsn) -

If you have to ask...
It's not that.
It's that I got my welcome email today so I was wondering how much free coffee I need to drink to break even...

I'm selling a Rapha softshell in XL here: https://www.lfgss.com/thread117975.html#post3957890

Whatever happened to the softshell trousers? I was recommending them to a mate and saw they not presently offered.
-
• #14561
Probably replaced by the Touring trouser.
Reckon the Swrve one is just as good, can't get enough of my Softshell 3/4th.

I got a pair of the softshell trousers off ebay for £30 - they're amazing but too hot for anything above 6 degrees.

Thats what i would have thought, surely way too hot for anything in UK?
-
• #14564
I paid full whack for mine and then they were discounted! Sob sob.

• #14565
They were awesome in last year's few London days of snow.

The Swerve mid-weight ones are very good and enough for London winters.

Right now I commute in 3/4 Swrve Softshell, it's quite toasty and the length is just about idea, suspect a trouser would be a little too much.

Dont trousers produce a lot of drag or are they pretty slim fitting?
My Biemme winter tights were perfect all winter last year, am hoping for more of the same this year. Bargain £13 off ebay.

Drag? Marginally gay commuting?
-
• #14570
What just marginally less gay than commuting in tights I guess?

• #14571
And that is where the dilemma is, I see the need for both in my winter wardrobe as it gets cold and wet up here (Scotland), but can only sneak one past the boss just now.
I know for the PTJ it says to size up, how is the sizing of the Brevet jersey compared to other brands? I think i'm borderline between xl and xxl.
I managed to convince the boss of the need of both, so they have been ordered. Brevet jersey for just now and PTJacket for under the tree from Santa.
Just hope that the sizes fit me ok, I was optimistic and went for the XL in the Brevet jersey.
Also thank you for the offeres of a referral for a 10% discount code, managed to get it sorted via the forum.

Technically speaking, your entire body is a drag.

depends if you're in drag or not

My jeans developed laddering in the saddle area, despite being not very worn on the bum area. Took them back to the shop and they let me exchange them for touring trousers. Really nice pair of trousers actually, much better cut for cycling too, even when they're not rolled up.

when that happened to me, I sent them an email and got the discount.. time lag wasn't much though
that hasn't even begun to make up for the torm debacle.
if you even visited their site that's an instant blacklisting.
