Plus a triple shoe rack for sports shoes (11 pairs).
Priorities.
Snap. At the last count I had 14 pairs of shoes which have cleats. And considerably fewer that don't (excluding ski footwear).

Hello, i'm new to these parts. I've not bought anything Rapha before and have read numerous opinions for and against, but i'm going to give it a try and see for myself as part of my winter clothing optional.
I can't decide between the Brevet jersey or the Pro team jacket. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on the merits of each of these?
Also is anyone able to sort me out with a refer a friend so we both get 10% off?

noticed yesterday that the bookshop in the Whitechapel Gallery on Whitechapel High St has the Rapha city guides set in stock for £22.50, cheaper than Rapha and if you live in east then closer to home

Totally different surely.
Brevet = thickish jersey = insulating
PTJ = thin softshell = wind/rain protecting -

The Pro-Team Jacket will be more useful at this time of year.

I wanted the orange, but it doesn't look as good as it does in the photos.

It looks like a kinda nice casual burnt amber on some pics. But then on others it looks like a nodder friendly signal orange.
I'd prefer it to be nodder friendly TBH.

Have some overshoes, winter hat, winter socks and some bidons waiting for me at home. Really tempted by the glove system. Winter is getting beat this year.
-
• #14390
Assos glove system is excellent, my hands are super toasty through winter

Assos gloves were shit when I tried them. First pair lasted 3 rides, the replacements tore first time they were used.
The rapha merino gloves with the chain print were brilliant yesterday. I was in full kit wanker mode, ptj, ss base layer, 3/4 bibs, winter socks and oversocks along with the gloves. Was nevere too hot or cold on a windy 50 mile ride.

I got the orange one and it's quite a nice shade in real life. It's not as bright as the chartreuse one from last year but it definitely stands out.
It's not quite a nodder orange - it's somewhere in between the action photograph and the studio shots on the website.

Cheers.
There is definitly a big difference between those shots. Think I need to try and source one from last year. The current weather here would justify the hardshell. Which still comes in YELLOW!. But as I'm not about to head out on any fast road rides in this shite. I wouldnt pay for the fit of Rapha. Which is basically what justifys it for me.

thats one thing im not a fan of with Rapha's marketing. their colours and shades in the photos are always differnt to the real product. Bought a hat before labelled as white which looked white on the photos but was definitely cream when it arrived.

Long sleeve Jersey has just arrived in the post. Oh yum... I feel slutty.

I've got a Bomber jacket in XS that's basically new, selling because I've finally accepted that it's too big for me. Anyone want it for £50 before I put it on ebay? PM me.

• #14397
The XS is too big for you?
Do you eat?
-
• #14398
Totally different surely.
Brevet = thickish jersey = insulating
PTJ = thin softshell = wind/rain protectingAnd that is where the dilemma is, I see the need for both in my winter wardrobe as it gets cold and wet up here (Scotland), but can only sneak one past the boss just now.
I know for the PTJ it says to size up, how is the sizing of the Brevet jersey compared to other brands? I think i'm borderline between xl and xxl.

Someone who has made at least one order in the past can refer a friend, who gets a 10% off voucher for an order over £100. Once said friend has completed the purchase, the referer also gets the voucher.
Unfortunately I have never ordered anything before (despite having an account), so I can't refer anyone :(

I'm a rather petite girl. I don't know what I was thinking, the sleeves were too long even with the cuffs folded over so it was clearly never going to look right but my Rapha lust overwhelmed all logic.
Fraid not. Plenty of low end commuter wheels.
I just ordered a load of cabling. When I was installing it. I dug out a box to find a decent cutter and found a complete set of cabling that I already had. This sort of thing happens all the time. Kaos!
