^ ^^ thanks both. Is the waterproofing pretty good? I can accept it's unlikely to be 100% of course.

It's all about the winter jersey this year…
What are those little loops above the cuff for?

I think they're little reflecty bits rather than loops

it is when you first buy it, but then needs reproofing regularly after you've had it a while

I've got one for sells. Black XXL, couple of years old. Small hole in one of the pockets (dodgy stitching, tut tut). It's great but far too big for me now.

I don't like the blue or grey. Red was nice and a far more sensible colour in teh gloom.

Got to love black in the dark!
Rapha ninja ftw.

Deep winter collar back in stock today. Feeling sorry for any schmuck that ordered the regular winter collar last night having first taken the time to make sure the deep winter one wasn't shown as coming soon like some of the other deep winter products were gggaaaaahhhhh

^^Which bibs? I thought I needed a large but then the lady who worked in the shop said, if your thighs aren't bulging out from the bottom of PTB's then they're too big. Hence, I got a medium instead.
They were the pro-teams, and we're talking too uncomfortable to ride in and starting to restrict feeling behind my knees...

Haha wow, that sounds tight. I am not sure if I'll ever be able to wear 'normal' bibs again. Could live in my ptbs.

EDIT - quoted wrong bit...
I has both. I've used both in situations that might be declared as "deep winter" - ie very cold/snowy.
The deep winter collar stretched out a little bit after a while and the gap between the two "sections" became a channel for cold to get in. In addition, if you use it to cover your face and ride hard breathing heavily into it, it gets a bit damp and soggy when you take it off your face it becomes a cold and unpleasant spit towel.
Now I only really use the DW collar when I can't find my regular one or if the regular one is in the laundry.

Sorry.
My point was "In my humble opinion, based on my level of use, I've found they're effectively interchangeable." - so get the cheaper one.

Entirely missing the point of rapha ... ?

The panels under the arms and on the sides aren't fully waterproof to try and make it more breathable so that's something to be aware of,
edit The new jackets appear to made of different material and are fully waterproof.

You may well 'LOL' but I spend more than that in town on coffee in a year.
I could use it.
Yeah, perfectly possible to boil in the rain jacket.
