I have Assos 3/4 in M, I am 5"6' 64kg 30W and they fit fine.
I'm 6'2" 72KG 33W and the Assos medium fit perfectly (well, a little snug but better than having movement in the large).
I know, as I just tried on the large and the medium before purchasing the medium.
Also looked at the Castelli bib shorts whilst I was there, but even though they talk the talk (in terms of marketing waffle on all of the labels) the pads are nowhere near as nice as the Assos ones.

Code didn't work for me either.... late to the party I guess.
Thanks anyway Privatepatterson!

Shit! Wanted to use it last night but don't get paid until Thursday. Too many people probably used it. Boooooooo!
-
• #13230
^ Yeh, I reckon it's been used up. Gutted. Was getting very excited by the prospect of nearly half price stuff.

Rapha will cancel any orders using that code now. Even if you have paid.
-
• #13232
Yeah... Reports are that the code is now dead. Sorry guys.
It came to me completely out of the blue, doubt I'll ever see one that good again.

How so?

I've got a confirmation email though?
I'll argue that one if they try! -

Let me know how you get on with challenging them.

• #13237
Lol probably no where but the code worked when i purchased so lets see what comes of it.

Just over 6ft around 31" waist - medium
6ft, 65kg 29" waist - medium
5"6' 64kg 30W - medium
6'2" 72KG 33W - medium
Smallfurry 5'7" 79kg 32"W - medium
Wait. Why do Assos even bother producing seven sizes? -
• #13239
One thing I'd say... usually their extreme discount codes are single-use and random strings: J56K65GSDF3216F < something like that.
For this to be a multi-use code, that was named after a famous climb... suggests it was supposed to go to a larger market. Probably a members club code, or something like that.
So you might be able to challenge it on the basis that they clearly issued a legit code that was not intended for one-time use.

How the fuck do I have the largest waist!
-
• #13241
Those codes are usually employee or friends & family discounts and aren't meant to be shared around. It's obvious when they are, and they shut the orders down. Not the first time it's happened, I'm sure.

Wait. Why do Assos even bother producing seven sizes?Lol someone here surely has had the tag in their bib shorts ripped out...

That totally sucks about Rapha cancelling people's orders - is that legal?
Maybe that code was supposed to be unique to one person and they clocked that it had been used loads of times so shut it down...?

How the fuck do I have the largest waist!
Because the rest of us are not able to put up a boast post about how slim we are.

Please say you are not a M in Assos too? :P

• #13248
I think the wildly varying body sizes that fit the assos m/l bibs are partly down to the fabric and also down to the torso height being reasonably similar for differening heights

Nah, their system issues one-time codes if it's intended to be for one person.
I had one recently, but only bought socks as that's all I could afford.
Though I was kicking myself hard last night when I discovered that I no longer owned bib shorts and now had to buy some. Assos and my bank must both now be pleased I missed my waffa opportunity.

You'd be fine in Assos medium I'm sure.

My Assos bibs are a bit roomy at size XLG.
Think I'll drop down to medium when I next get some bibs
For me it was 40%
