  • it must be non-unique code got the same one.

  • really? how does that work then? everyone gets 15%? oh well ..

  • *Code is valid until 23.59 GMT on 26th July 2013.

  • Just did a survey and dont plan to buy anything rapha ever so here is a code for 15% discount RSFDM0713

    nice!

    ...but still pricey.

  • The survey codes have always been 'open' codes so far. Not that it hurts anyone to fill it in anyway.

  • yea i filled the survey because I love the brand and what it represents, just never going to buy into it.

  • If you were travelling along your favourite country lane, passing a fellow cyclist coming in the opposite direction and offered a friendly wave/ nod upon which they didn't return the salutation, would you:
1: Slow down, turn around a give chase to berate them
2: Continue on your way cursing their rudeness
3: Stop and break down in tears

  • Lightweight Jersey vs Super Lightweight Jersey: experiences?

It's really hot and humid and logic says SLJ, but I love DAT MERINO. SLJ pocket layout looks better, too.

  • I prefer Pro over Classic over Super Light over Light... Ordered all four just to try them out, but ended up keeping them, they're all great!

For your needs, I'd go for Pro or Super Light

  • Wish they would do Team Sky kit without the Sky logo... :(

  • Super Lightweight was the clear winner, but I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a pretty standard polyester jersey. Merino, yes, or even the Pro Team stuff... but the SLJ just didn't seem worth it. Picked up a Castelli Prologo 3 for half the price. I'm sure it won't be as good, but half as good? I'll only be wearing it until mid-September anyway, when Merino temperatures return.

  • Fair enough... Personally I've come to the conclusion that a nice kit, Rapha in particular, is well worth paying for. Not that I'm doing any riding at the moment :(

  • ...I'm sure it won't be as good.

Quoted for posterity. It's likely to be better IME.

  • also black flyknits on nike online are down to £90 in sizes 10 and up

  • Do the pro team bib shorts use the same pad as the classic bibs?

  • Seems slightly slimmer and narrower.

I've managed to get loose threads and other slight tears in the super lightweight jersey/bibs after just a month. They are really flimsy compared to proteam but i suppose thats the point. When it's warm it's warm whatever jersey you have. Bibs has made no difference to me for some reason. It's either too warm or its fine.

I am told ( from Rapha ) it is the same.

  • ^^
Wow. People getting into cycling via clothing!

  • Look out for the occasional sample sale- get there early though and be prepared to queue round the block.

  • Rapha, listen up. It's too hot. A bikini pls...
    :)

  • Rapha bikini? I would love to see what kind of "story" they'll put on it.
