Anyone have any experience with Castelli sizing? My chest size is 38", to achieve a race fit would you buy a Medium (advertised as 38") or go a size up?
I have a couple of their jackets, a windproof shell which is superb and the Espresso Due soft-shell. I'm about a 42" chest and have tried the L, XL and XXL in both of these jackets, I settled with the XXL in both. The XL is tight (I would say 'race fit'), but a tad short in the arm length, the XXL is hardly any bigger in the body but spot on with the arm length. Castelli stuff is tiny, it seems it's designed for Pantani sized riders.
I would try some gear on if possible, but If you're buying Castelli stuff online I would order two sizes and return one, seeing as most places offer free postal returns now. -

Sorry, I was wearing mine today. I like it.
I was also wearing the city riding trousers, which are really good- very comfortable, surprisingly water resistant, and cut well for cycling.

^ totally agree! only problem I found with these city trousers was the pocket wasn't as deep as other trousers they sell. =

Just failed to negotiate the multiple intercoms into rapha hq, got as far as the postboxes which i figured was good enough. Just wanted to drop off a return... Hope it makes it up the stairs.

They are 'very busy ATM with crash repairs'

Apparently the reasoning for the set-up is due to a bad back.
His levers look like a case of "hit something but couldn't be bothered to get it set back" (which was also the general respond I got at work when I enquired customer about their set-up).
