Had a weird experience with the Rapha arm warmers. Bought them a year ago, lost them, then found them on the ground outside my garden shed soaked through. Washed them and finally wore them.
Didn't like them. They seem to be marginally warmer than my Highroad ones but are also significantly shorter, looser around the forearm and wrist and tighter around the top arm. Ho hum, 1st world problems
Oh just got an email for an extra 15% off remaining ssale items

What're the odds of there being a 'last few days of the sale, further reductions now available' e-mail going around and if good, how long before it's likely?

X15LWOSThanks for that. Got 3/4 Bib Shorts and some awesome orange socks.
Was trying to decide between, Long Sleeve City Riding, Long Sleeve Merino Jersey and Merino Roll Neck.
Long Sleeve Merino Jersey is nice. Wasn't keen on the Roll Neck.
Anyone going to the Berlin sample sale?

^I think Rod Munch is referring to women's 50% weekend sale.

Tempted by one of these softshells. Sounds good for around city riding.
Does anyone make anything comparable at a lesser cost? -
• #11192
Something less pricey, but not as nicey?
-
• #11193
They've only got small or extra small, or I'd have got one.
-
• #11194
Small might work for me. I keep being shocked at having to get the smalled size in things at 6'
Chest is fine, it's the arm length that might be an issue. But yeah less pricey just as nicey would be great. Is there anything?

If you are riding around the city I have Surface hoody which isn't quite a softshell but manages to keep me warm enough with a layer or two in sub zero temps in Beijing. I think they are made by the people behind Charge bikes but I could be wrong. Cheap and cheerful rather than nice and pricey. Here's review from road.cc

I really like my Swrve Milwaukee hoody, but whilst it is fine around the shoulders, and the arm length is good, I could get a couple of pillows in there around the stomach area- which makes it pretty draughty.

I considered the vulpine softshell when i was looking (eventually bought the rapha softshell). Never tried it on but looks quite nice....

I'm guessing that has something to do with then being a UCI World Pro team.
From him it's probably as good as it gets.
