  • rain...

    :)

    thunder

  • They really should make waterproof hearing aids, god knows I could use one... thinks about investing in this idea...

  • got soaked, dick head brother left bike out!
although its not too bad now, cant work out if its trains or thunder behind me!

  • I'm really hoping you used 'cup' as a form of measurement because you drank the water from your trainers. Recycling an all that...?

alas i did not, but i did cycle up my street with my arms stretch out, mouth open trying to drink the rain (does this count) and get as wet as i possibly could. i also cycled through as many puddles as i could.

  • Umbrella time!

  • lightning

  • on a bike?!
    i joke

  • I like it

  • I was going to head over to my mates to borrow a bike for a weekend ride, damn it, not going out in this...

  • HTFU!! Its not cold, its rather pleasant. I like rain, and then when you get back in the warmth with cup of tea, you will appreciate being dry even more :)

  • That was the scariest ride in a long time, but boy was it fun.

A brace of beer after work with friends, and then twenty minutes of insane bravado through a wall of rain, in a steady five inches of standing water from Southwark to Clapham.

Lightening (sic) and thunder all the way.

    London. Love it.

  • heavy heavy here, shutting down servers just in case.... it is cool though as im on the roof in a glass box pretty much working!

  • I really love how some people describe the storm here in merry old England, the weather here is the most mundane weather I've ever seen in my life after experiencing some hairy one outside the UK.

I don't think this is comparable to the hearing aids we use, for one they're old technology.

  • a sainsburys carrier bag is the answer if you experience a hairy one round my end it seems

  • my dog is terrified.. ;(

  • meh its getting a bit more intense, just hoping for some fork lightning to photograph.... never happens :(

  • give him a cuddle

+1 but you would not want to ride in a storm outside england,i've seen storms in Ghana was away roads and knock down walls.

He has newer ones, but has one of these for wet weather outdoor activities (possibly dogging, I'm unsure). I didn't google for more modern types but if they can make them then surely there would be a more up to date solution?

  • i got slain by the storm, but it was great fun. pulling my bike over the steepest part of the north downs (18%avg 22%max) was a mission. the water was gushing down the road as i tried to climb, and i was losing loads of traction and losing my back end in skids.

only once i have ridden in such bad weather, and that was more to do with coastal winds.

oh defintely, the downpour in the South of France during a summer storm was so gigantic that it only take a mere couple of second to get completely soaked as if you've just dived into a swimming pool.
