Got lots of rain but not the thunder or lightning up here ... a few miles N of the M25 ... Really do love a summer thunderstorm. Nearly reminds me of my childhood in the tropics ... just need the smell of rainwater steaming off hot tarmac.

I'm really hoping you used 'cup' as a form of measurement because you drank the water from your trainers. Recycling an all that...?

I got caught in the massive rainstorm yesterday evening. It started in Hammersmith and ended just after I got indoors at Bethnal Green. I couldn't have been more soaked if I had ridden into the Thames.
I bloody loved that ride home. And I can report that Rapha Fixed shorts are good to ride in even when soaked through.
And then it cleared up in time for Easts. yay!
