yay for free Wiggle returns.
For how long?

Knipex or Felco for the win.

there's always a non-bike brand who make a better one
But they're not Park Tools blue so no one knows you're a mad keen cyclist, so fuck that.

Don't worry, the bike themed socks and pizza cutter my in-laws got me are already doing that heavy lifting
-
• #981
Only one pair of socks and one pizza cutter? I think we now have 3 bike themed pizza cutters and at least two pairs of socks each.
-
• #982
Yes, only pair pair and one cutter per day, obviously

See also Snap-On for proper mechanics

I think my missus tried to freecycle the bike pizza cutter but I wouldn't let her. As for bike themed clothing, well, too much is never enough.

My brothers and their apprentice-era Snap-On addiction was firmly in my mind when I wrote that. :)
"But Mum, it's only 180,000AUD for the whole set and it comes with a free bearing seal pick!"

A true pro would use two pizza cutters at once on one pizza for maximum pizza serving efficiency.

Can confirm that I stopped using my park tools one too as it wasn’t very good, often made a hash of outer housing. Bought a much cheaper one from a diy shop that has been great. Doesn’t have the nipple press tho

Well, from my recent experiences (I'm still happily using them issues free) and the replies on the wiggle thread, I can't see any problems yet. It's already in an Evri van on its way back.

Small wheels on that SGS. The wheels on the Milwaukee are bigger so it’s easier to drag up stairs.

It's already in an Evri van on its way back to the wrong address

• #991
That would be a problem between Evri and Wiggle ....

True, true

Got a link to the Milwaukee one? Can’t find quite what im after when I search it.

Absolutely loving the live content. I hope you went there especially…
My issue with those is you have to unstack them to open, the appeal of the Stanley / SGS is you can access tools as is. Thank you tho.
I think I’ve exhausted the thread on this one. I’ll make a purchase and report back if anything of note.

Looks like the Milwaukee Packout has chains on the wheels for working in adverse conditions. Sick

If you're talking about brake housing, I've found that sidecutters do a better job than cable cutters, because a scissor action inevitably causes muntage while sidecutter blades have a chance of going between the coils (sometimes they don't, but then it's easy to trim off the dag).

Knipex or Felco for the win.
These feel much nicer than the Park ones I used to have ( which are now relegated to cutting spokes ) although I doubt I'll be able to really test their longevity as I rarely do much bike maintenance these days

Stanley- I have/had one of their Fatmax boxes and hated it as the latches fall off every time you open it. Would never buy again until they change the design.
Cable cutters- I have Knipex and Park, Knipex is a nicer cut but tbh putting a length of sacrificial cable in the housing before you cut it will give a much cleaner cut than any cutters on empty housing. Or, Dremel and cut off wheel if you really want no risk of crushing the outer.
For example, I had to remove a headset spacer that had fused to the steerer with rust yesterday. I tried Plusgas, hammers, screwdrivers to lever it off, blowtorch, vice. Nothing worked. Park adjustable crown race puller got it off in about 5 seconds.
But their hex wrenches are total dogshit.
