Shocked. And appalled.
Well done. Hope that this takes some pressure off you FearlessLeader. Well done to SJS for thinking a little outside the box.

will we,together, be triumphant in wiping the chancers, fly-by-nites, hawkers and purveyors of snake-oil from the crusty, crumb-ridden map of the cycling world?
or will single celled ignorami continue to impulsively and greedily suck the sour unipack milk from the engorged teat of cynical mass production?

This is fantastic news!
Indeed it is.
Most of you already know, but I felt that perhaps a note should be made in the records.
SJS Cycles is to sponsor LFGSS.
Initially this will be on a trial period of 3 months with a 1 month lead-in to prepare things. If this trial proves to be successful for SJS Cycles and LFGSS then the sponsorship would be extended to an annual one.
I'm personally really pleased to be working with SJS Cycles, and they wouldn't have to pay me to say so. They're great guys, have a wonderful shop with great heritage, and I love the stock that they have, the service they provide... it's all good as far as I can see.
You're probably wondering what this means to you... maybe you're not but I'm going to tell you anyway that as part of sponsorship a few things will obviously change. This has been documented in the "LFGSS is looking for a sponsor" thread but can be summarised as:
That's what is probably the "contracted minimum", however we're not so officious as to have a contract and whilst the above will happen we're actually looking to provide something unique and of value to the community (no, you don't get free Thorns).
Nick of SJS Cycles has introduced himself already, and he & I have been chatting this last week about some of the more interesting things that we could be doing, and from his side this means looking at what products the community wants to see SJS Cycles stock.
LFGSS is also producing a mass of T-shirts at the moment, and Nick has very kindly put aside SJS Cycles resources so that they will take care of the logistics of selling and distributing these (plus if you order other stuff from SJS you get cheaper postage so it's a win-win and better service than me in my flat could provide).
There's some other stuff in the works, but this announcement is a little over due so here you are. Here's to SJS Cycles and LFGSS working together, it should be fun.
