  • Galaxy S10 Vignette App, zoomed & cropped afterwards.

[csb] The guy on the right is an actor apparently. I'm out of touch so couldn't say if so or not.

We were chilling on a bench by the water & a media crew arrived to get some footage for a future FootLocker social media thing. [/csb]

  • Looks like a beautiful place, whereabouts?

  • Clearly the best side!

  • Yes, clearly :)

It's also the south facing side so unlike the Bute side, where my mother lives, it gets sun all day.

Well, it does on those occasional days where there is sun in Argyll.

  • Just checking that everyone here is using ProShot.

You know how there's always a huge lag between telling the phone to take the photo and the phone actually taking the photo, and buying a nice phone doesn't seem to make any difference?

Solved it. I'd guess my lag, on a Samsung A71, is under 150ms now. On top of that, it also seems to be the camera app to end all camera apps. Not free, but there's a little app to check how compatible it is with your phone first.

    https://www.riseupgames.com/proshot

The evaluation app didn't tell me anything about the lag, so I sent an email asking about it, and also how the licence worked; here's the reply:

Thank you for asking! Please accept my apologies for the late reply.

While I am not sure if the lag you're referring to is fixed by ProShot, I can tell you that ProShot will take a photo as soon as the camera button is pressed. If you're finding that the lag in too much, you can either refund the purchase through Google Play, or reach out to me and I can process it.

Finally, ProShot is a one-time purchase and it's tied to your Google account. So long as you're logged into Google Play I believe it can be installed on any device.

    Kind Regards,
    Eddie Kezeli

I don't find this at all on my phone. It seems to be as close to instant as makes no difference.

Not sure if this is dependent on conditions (eg light / need to set focus) but random point and shoot suggests minimal lag).

    Pixel 6a in this case.

  • Iphone SE 2, Richmond Park a few days ago.
