  • A little village near llandwrog

Lovely, I'm a big fan of North Wales. Are you from Swansea or just living there?

  • To contrast with a South Wales beach yesterday (Oxwich, on the Gower). Looks tranquil but the wind was actually blowing the waves backwards.

    Taken with a Blackberry Curve.

    both excellent pics!

    where's that wibble?

  • Any app recommendations for an iPhone newb please?

Camera+ is pretty good. I don't use it very often though. Here are the effects in case your interested:

  • Took that picture over the festive period in Aberdeenshire..

We were going on a hill walk but started on the wrong side of the river. There were no crossing points really other than where we started so we just wandered around the forest. The young lady in the picture is my better half, toying around with the DSLR I got her for christmas.

Also, my pic was taken with an HTC Desire HD..

I live in swansea, just with family in NW at the moment

  • Soon... etc

HTC desire, and Photoshop Express for B&W.

  • No editing at all, standard iPhone camera;

  • ^^ & ^ both nice.

  • You mean those AREN'T the same image posted twice?

Presses nose against screen Sees no discernible differences

    Kidding. :-)

I mean't Ed and Steve's, but see how it could be interpreted differently...

  • A couple more, sorry to bomb the thread:

Two from Snowdon back in August:

And one from Moel Famau, nr. Ruthin in North Wales:

All taken with an HTC Desire with no editing. Shows that beautiful scenery laughs in the face of average equipment and poor technique!

  • HTC sensation, no tweeking

all of lake mjorsa in norway, taken on a shite htc hero without any editing. rate purty!

Clearly the HTC inbuilt photo software is biased towards contrast. But still, this one is a bit nicer IMO.

Contrast is actually fairly low here, bumped up the saturation on the camera to pick out the other shore through the mist (it's about 6km away)

  • Ah, I was mistaken then. I didn't imagine that

*taken on a shite htc hero *without any editing** and

*bumped up the saturation on the camera*,

could be compatible with each other. I am corrected.

changed the settings in camera before I took the picture, not in potatochop afterwards. Can we be friends now?

  • Nicked from my FB so a bit pixelated

Park where I normally take the dog
