I punctuate each push of the pedal with a pithy profanity.

Do you whistle other versions of New York, New York too, or just Frank's version?
The Black Flag version is a little dissonant, and pretty difficult to whistle... I occasionally go for the classic spaghetti western themes too... I learnt them as a child (while riding an imaginary horse with a lolly in my mouth for a cheroot)...

Not sure which bit you mean, but probably not... ;]
Love the version of the harmonica track with loads of reverbed/fuzz guitar in the background... Chilling... Love all those early Morricone OSTs... -

I have a mental i-pod collection of songs about bikes that I sing.
my favorite is bike rides and hi-fives by Rosa. -
• #43
for bike related songs nothing will ever shift 'bike' by Pink Floyd from my mind.. My mum used to sing it to me as a little kid

I often hum popular beat combo The Prodigy's 'Take Me To The Hospital'. Imagine the giggles if I actually did get involved in a major incident and was literally shouting it.

Yes I sing too, but more often than not, I just kinda hum or badly beatbox old hip hop basslines and sort of pant out snippets of rap. Its not even my favourite kind of music, and I am a pasty middle class white boy, so its embarassing if anyone ever cottons on. Maybe its to with the whole "tuning out" thing - they get really stuck in my head. I've been humming shame on a nigga and gin and juice for fifteen years now...

Like jacqui I whistle if I think a ped is going to step out, but recently it's become my reaction to anyone doing something stupid in front of me, even things like lorries that are never going to hear my whistling in a million years!
I also sing metal/punk if I feel the need to put more effort in (particular anything early metalica or L7s monster) and pop/rock if I'm in an ASL in the hope it will get some of the grumpy commuters to smile :-)
Of course these are generalisations, like olly I'm a middle class white boy who will sometimes be caught singing gin and juice or anything from it takes a nation of millions to hold us back :-)
I can also be caught singing the doctor who theme :-)

Is the Prodigy TMTTH a cover of The Replacements' TMTTH? It's good, but I prefer Cracker's Take Me Down to the Infirmary, particularly for singing.
I feel somewhat less of a mentalist now I know I'm not the only one singing his way round London. Goes to show, it's not that obvious to others.
This thread is ACE!
Its a refreshing change from all that Tour de France wank.
