Would've loved to have been at this gig.
To my shame (now) having been a bit of a straight edger and really into Dischord bands up to that time, I lost interest in 'guitar' music, and started clubbing and doing all that vacuous bollocks. There was some great music coming out of all that explosion, though. About ten years later British dance music went really really shit, around the time of UK Garage.

shonen knife! :D
I saw chk chk chk twice and they were great the first time and rubbish the second time. That probably doesn't help you much.
Girls At Our Best (ignore the random photo montage and listen to the awesome song)

This is nice!^ a bit like the Poison Girls or something.
So 'chk chk chk' .. is that how you say it? Cheers Tricity. When was that you saw them? I don't even know if they're still 'active'.

Their 1981 LP Pleasure is AWESOME... I love them almost as much as Huggy Bear.
Saw !!! at Primavera in 04 (where they were ace) and then a couple of years ago supporting someone in London but I can't remember where it was or who they were supporting... and then I forgot all about them because it wasn't a very good gig.

kickboxing on a saturday night @ 3.30 is meta-moronic brilliance.Their track names are great, such as 'I don't care which nigger dug it of the ground, I want a diamond on my finger'

That !!! LP had one killer track on it from memory - Me and Guiliani down by the school yard or something like that.
Here's my 'lost' track for the day (at least I'd totally forgotten about it until earlier on!):

YouTube - We Have Come To Bless The House

Have we had any ZK yet?
Some new stuff for me to check out there^
@diable yes 'A Forest' was great! I always loved 'Primary' from that LP too.
Is anybody familiar with a band called '!!!' ? I am listening to a couple of LPs someone ripped for me today, they're great! Nothing on PooTube though. I might have check for a MySpazz page for them. Wouldn;t mind seeing them live. Remind me of The Pop Group and the Pigbag LPs and TV on the Radio. Wicked bass and Rhythm Guitar/drums work.
