Well I'm still blaming racism.

in australia we had a similar party to the bnp, run by pauline hanson. bloody awful and bloody awful for the whole political landscape - anyway that's not the point. i lived in a small country town which only had a meatworks, this meatworks was about to close. my inital thoughts were 'good the place can get on with regenerating and becoming a latte sipping, antique selling, yuppy loving rural setting'...but as you can imagine the rest of the town saw it differently.

these people really had no-one to represent them. However, the one party that came to the town was pauline's. she talked at the local pub, went to the factory and ranted about saving jobs for workers and families...etc. Of course there was an undertone of racial discrimiation to it all but the point is that she was the only party to voice the concerns of these people. in a two party system that is concerned, nearly completely, with spin people feel as if their concerns are not meant. parties like the bnp do this. so even through their party politics are fucked their bigorty is still worth understanding and actually looking at what they are representing. best way to convince people to not support something is to understand why they support it.

The solution, i think, to my small town problem was that the local government needed to manging the change well and set up small industries (whether it be a gourmet suasages works...etc) ...but we never got to this point as the factory is still open. pauline's party policy's were absorbed by the mainstream parties and she was commited for tax fraud and the town is still a shithole.

A friend of mine went into BNP last week to buy some h+son rims and they were very rude, overpriced and the shop smelled of old bikes.

Agreed it was a fippant justification of my love of reggae, not really mean't to be taken seriously. humour fail. However the existence of racist organisations of other ethnicity doen't lessen my loathing for those fools.

I suspect that what has happened is that the first post, whilst receiving no replies at all, turned up in a search by those fuckheads and then they registered here solely to respond to it. Dumb as pigshit.

However, it presents a simple solution... don't publically make debate about the BNP if you wish to avoid having them arrive here and post rubbish.
