  • Okay, after throwing all the toys out of the pram after this years debacle I am already thinking of doing Marmotte next year, thinner, stronger and faster.

So who else is up for 180km 5000m of climbing in the Alps?

i'm definitely in seeing as i have a climbers physique it's rude not to have a go :-)

  • I'm not joking about the Contis.

  • I'm interested, but can't see it happening, so I'll stay off the list for now :(

  • if i tell people enough they will believe they said yes to coming along

  • can anyone suggest a decent rim to replace my open pro ceramic or should i just get another one?

  • Just get another one, or a non-ceramic version.

  • Yeah.. normal one. Do you have any trouble braking on the ceramic? I had a look at one of those and they are sooo fookin' slippy..

  • ceramic open pros seem to brake a little worse in the dry compared to metal finish

however they brake much better in the wet, so overall more consistent in performance

  • Interesting. I'd still stick with standard ones. Fairly hefty price diff I think. And they is black.

  • that's a pretty good alternative to a triathlon next year!

  • Eating your own fingers off is a pretty good alternative to triathlon.

  • Those triathletes and their crazy performance clothing:

  • i might be up for a tour or somert.

  • When in 2010? I could have a road bike by then...

  • Now time

  • and you'll need a road bike before then to train on..

  • ..yeah I knew that. Dang!

  • Looking forward to it.
