Ok... Real Noob question... When i go to collect the wheel and have it fitted.
whats the best way of getting that spare wheel back home on the bike?
should i just carry the dam thing back or somehow connect the wheel to my chrome?
dont want to cause a accident.. -

Sorry for the new thread, but I'm on the train and my search fu is weak right now. Going to be in Central London today, and I could really do with a new fixed wheelset, or at least a rear wheel/hub. Which places would be best to check out for half decent second hand parts with the limited time I have available?
Alternatively, if you have anything suitable and can meet up, offers welcome!

Google search: lfgss.com + London bike shops brought up this:
https://www.lfgss.com/shops.html
Your best bet is to pick up the phone and call the shops to see what they've got in stock.
The obvious ones in Central London are:
- condor
- kinoko
- fitzrova
BLB is the only shop I can think of that has 2nd hand parts
Also you should post in the mods thread and ask for this to be moved to classifieds > wanted
- condor

It's not really a wanted ad, I'm after information. I'm aware of the map, but I don't have the sort of data and battery available to hunt through all those listings to find out which ones might suit my purpose. Hence I was hoping someone who knows as such could point me to which shops are good for second hand bits, because I couldn't find a thread that did the same

Will try BLB though, it's near enough to my train home

Second hand wheels in central London? Good luck.
yeah the rims are £42 or something, £30 for the hub, & the rest goes of spokes, nips & wheel building and a Breaking surface (as i ride singlespeed) Not bad for a back wheel.
Hope it lasts 6years or even half of that i'll be a happy customer.
