I've got one and a G-One Speed but I never got to test either as I ended up going with a 35mm GP Urban and 28mm Pro 4 Endurance combo. I still have them to test once I've killed the other tyres.

Heavier, slower and much more durable.

Heavier, slower and much more durable. Chris Herbert rode the Pirellis during this year's TCR and liked them.
This place is good for comparing raw specs.

TCR7, no punctures.
I did have some drama in Transiberica but that was a snakebite of the tyre (yes, tyre) on a rock which I don't think any tyre below a Durano Plus/Marathon would've survived. Pretty happy with them, bit slower than GP4000s but for anything mixed surface (aka Britain's fucked roads) they're good.

Interested too now I have 650B wheels.
Currently running knobby WTB Revolute? Have some 47mm slick(ish) WTB Horizons to test out.

For use on tarmac or off road?
-
• #6639
tarmac, 2.0 or skinnier
along the lines of a kenda kiniption or kenda small block 8, these only come in fatter tyre
-
• #6640
Thought best grip was offered by slicks -(at relaxed psi?) on tarmac
-
• #6641
aquaplaning tho'
formula 1 use treaded tyres in the wet rather than slicks
-
• #6642
not that i'll be going too fast

aquaplaning tho'
Doesn't happen with bike tyres. The contact patch is too small. If you want maximum grip on tarmac, even in water, don't bother with tread. It will do precisely nothing to help.

Unless you're doing well over 60mph, that is. Then it might be an issue with fat tyres and low pressures.

The go to tubeless 26" mtb tyres? Weird request: want to get good cushioning for child carrying purpose so don't care about traction on mtb paths. Anything cheap and as wide as my frame will take?
