Any idea of how wide do they come up on 17c rims?
-
• #6329
I had them on a mavic kysirium and they still run at 27.

Flirting with the idea of building up a Surly Ogre as my commuter, toddler carrier, weekend adventuring bike and thinking about what tyres to run. I'd say I'd be mostly 80/20 paved road/off-road so something with a smoother tread would be ideal. Pretty sure I'll be running 29er/700 wheels but open to 650b too. Ideally tubeless as well. Nothing too wide, 50-60mm for 29er/700 or 2.2-2.4" for 650b.

I keep listening to American podcasts and now think I need some fat-tyred dirt-herder shit in my life that's not a 26er...

Just set up 32mm GP5000 TL’s on a pair of Hunt Gravel Discs in about 10 minutes. Held air first time, went up with a standard track pump, went on by hand. I’d heard they were a nightmare so quite pleased with myself.

Cobblers thumbs obviously . Or i stretched them a bit for you.

The Hunt carbon 30’s? If so do you have a width measurement?

Sorry the ramparts are what I’m considering. Which option are you looking at?
They have good reviews but I’ve not seen them in the flesh think Charlie bike monger has them in stock -

Bikemonger are doing the 38 tan wall but they will be tight under pdw mudguards.

Rear went up and stayed up overnight. Fronts dropped down to 20. Shook it around and gave it another shot of sealant - hopefully that’s it done now.

Whats the internal on those?
Could I trouble you for a measure of the tyre if you have callipers -

Are Compass tyres really really ridiculously amazing?
-
• #6346
In the dry, they're pretty good. Not for the wet though.

uses his "impartial" blog only to advertise his company, and pathetically denies it
bought a historic french company so he could rename his one and sound more legit
refuses to accept he might be wrong or other people have other preferences
only markets stuff that works in a narrow set of circumstances for certain rich people

You just made me dip into his blog for the first time in ages. Ugh.
