All these "fast rolling, light" types that are just riding to and from work.

Yeah, I've had no issues with Hypers. I ride like an old man now though.

Specialized Roubaix are decent @ 700x30/32
I've ridden them on a club run shifting 40 kph

Good shout, I have armadillos on my beater and they're bomb proof.

Looking for current recommendations for a 25mm/700c tyre. Something slightly heavier than the GP4000iis, slightly less fragile and more puncture resistant. Currently riding 25mm Marathon Plus so may actually have space for 28mms!

Durano and Durano Plus are both more supple than Marathon Plus and more durable than GP4000

Thanks all, already a fan of Schwalbe and looks to be the most wallet friendly as well. On sale at planetx but only the 28mm, not sure that'll fit under an alpina track fork but it may do. Wil see what size my marathons come up as

Tyre as good as gp4000sii in gumwall?

Corsa G+ comes to mind, but you'll spend loads in a tire that could turn worse. Maybe someone that have used both tires could give you better answers

Just fitted some Michelin power competition to the bike in 700x25 come up true to size on a 17mm internal rim. Very thin feeling, should ride well... Let's see if it's a deflating experience.

Do Deliveroo and many runs around thr city with some load on, city made of potholes and diesel coated cobbles, so 23c doesn't really cut it, tried very hard to survive on <28 but gets old quick lol

I've time trialled on 28s for the last 6 or so years so I had no qualms throwing the fattest rubber I could on my commuter/training bikes. 2.3" balloon tyres on the Inbred, 32mm on the Kinesis, 28mm on the Tarmac (actually it has 25 but that was from a race and I need to swap wheels).

Anyone got experience using Schwalbe One V Guard in the wet?

Me. Good tyres, fast, not too fragile. Would buy again.

new Rubino Pro's are good.

I got the even cheaper wired Rubinos on my Bowman and they are excellent. Compound is so much better than the old one.

Pirelli P Zero 4S shaping up nicely...25mm measures 27mm wide on Archetype rims, ideal fit in the SuperSix

Cheers, decent grip in the wet too?
That's at least 10 years I've never used them then.
