I think all tubeless issues are user errors. Either bodges or trying to save money (false economy) by not using all tubeless 'ready' products (rims, tapes, valves, tyres) or just not setting it up properly or have basic understanding of the concept.
I found setting them up easier than the tube set up and it was first time for me.
Having said that I haven't seen any real benefits, I didn't puncture with tubes and I haven't punctured on tubeless. I can't tell the difference in rolling resistance either. I was due for new tyres so just went tubeless.

What part of https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13744837/ is a user error? Other than using tubeless tyres on a road bike, obviously.

Didn't seal properly as he mentioned.

my rear 29er tyre loses air super duper slowly (tubeless) - what have I dont wrong? does it need more sealant? front is brilliant
not going to venture into it for my road bike. bit more danger at higher pressures it seems..

"It was coming out of the tread of the tyre. It just makes a bit of a mess.
Either I got two punctures or the first one didn't seal properly."The puncture didn't seal properly. So, how is that a user error?

Then again tubes also puncture .. at least he didn't have to stop first time round

You forgot something...

I can't see how it is user error unless there is some kind of technique for getting the sealant to seal a small hole in the tyre.
In this case, if I were riding tubes I would have changed the tube straight away, and the back of my bike would not have been covered with goop. As far as I can see, I would have been better off. That's assuming there was just one puncture.
At some point I will take the tyre off and have a good look for holes. Maybe. Or I might just carry on riding with a tube in it.

ild like some black 30-31mm ish tyres, because my challenge almanzo is a bit too big and the front keeps mysteriously puncturing.
-cheap
-not too heavy
-foldable
-slick-ish profile; road use!any recommendations? thanks!

Went for a ride today, dry start, then rainy. Lots of little country lanes in Hertfordshire. Got 3 punctures, 2 in rear tyre, 1 in front. Went through 2 tubes and a patch. Every one was a little tiny bit of flint. Aborted ride.
That was with Vittoria Corsa G+ 28c. They've been nice in the dry, but absolutely shite for punctures in the wet on little lanes. Completely enraging.

I'd try with getting more sealant in and riding. Worked for me

Got some 38c GravelKing SK Gum/Tan/Poo wall. Myself and pals all agree it's a pretty nice colour, not too dark not too light. Tyres were excellent on today's 55 mile 80% off road ride. Would definitely recommend.

I'm looking for some tyres for touring and am wondering if there's any slickish 40c folding tyres in 120 tpi? Cheers.

Marathon supreme or Vittoria Voyager Hypers?
I thought Supremes would be tractor tyres but they're not. Running them tubless on my commuter and they are pretty nice plus usual marathon puncture resistance is a bonus.
I've also had a pair of Hypers in 37c and they are nice to ride as well.
Both have some tread pattern but not enough to make much difference.

Supreme FTW.

precisely the reason why I haven't and won't be bothering with tubeless.

I think the tubeless conversation is more karmic than anything else on here ..
Do you puncture a lot? Tubeless.
Are you mechanically unsound? Stick with tubes.

Did lol

Fact is, you tubeless muppets still have to carry tubes around.

Another vote for hypers, nearly 2500km on them with no punctures. Had one slightly hairy moment on then cornering in the wet - they are not race tires but otherwise very good. Comfy too.

Anyone used 32c Gravel Kings?
-

What's the difference between the panaracer paeselas vs gravel kings at 32c?
The gravel kings get a bit knobbly at 32c. Need them for mostly road with a bit of offroad/gravel thrown in. Something comfy and smooth that also comes in a gum/tan/brown wall.
edit: and cheap!
