The Ciclicorsa guys know their bikes, have helped me out an various occasions. Most recently on Columbus forks and various tire clearances. Never had any issues ordering from them.
Not that I ever had issues with bike24, I do still have an order from monday last week that needs to be completed while everything was listed as "in stock".
I just prefer the more personal approach of CC over Bike24. :)

Fair enough!
So you haven't had any problems with bike24, it's just you've had great service from Ciclicorsa?

I also had great service from Ciclicorsa when trying to get the fork for my Orlo. Quick responses and postage after digging out the last one from the depths of the warehouse

Never heard of them before, but I'll put them on The List. :)

I read this whole thread last night after not reading it for six months, it's funny how my experience tallies with everyone else's. My 28mm Gravel Kings must have done nearly 4000 miles by now and they're still going strong, although the centre of the tread is pretty smooth it's not a problem. I've not had a single 'issue' with them that I can remember.
My Compass Bon Jon Passes were very good for a long time but I have had a few p-words recently after about 1400 miles. This seems to have been during the recent wet spell to be fair. While I haven't really had the @amey lack of grip problem I haven't really pushed them round corners in the wet much either. Can confirm that they're crap on slidey mud or grass but you'd expect that.
I'll carry on with them for the moment but am interested in bigger Gravel Kings as the 28mm ones have been so good and would be a chance to try tubeless finally. Can they actually be had in gumwall anywhere yet?
A pair of Vittoria Voyager in 35mm also seems like a no brainer given the price. What are they like for puncture resistance though? This suggests potentially not that great?

They'll be better than the Compass - that test is measuring them as a touring tyre.

Got the voyager hyper in 32mm as my daily commute and light touring tyres - no particular puncture issues (as in, when I've got them it's usually been to a big old bit of glass).
Not sure on the 35s, but the 32s come up quite big (33.5mm on my rims).

My Gravel King 28s have been undone by Coppermill Lane's flinty detritus one too many times. Switched back to Ribmos till spring arrives properly, but I miss the light and supple feel. Would anyone say Paselas feel similar?

@mattioats have just switched to schwable duranos from ribmos. they are so so much nicer to ride...meant to be pretty puncture proof...

Good idea. I have the DD version on the other bike, hadn't thought of getting 28s. Think I'll go back to GKs when I no longer have to commute along this particular stretch and it's not so frequently damp.

on that subject, I have some barely used Extralite Barlow Pass for sale if anyones keen.

With all this talk of longevity, my Marathon Supreme 32c have just gone through 4,000 miles so I thought I'd share what condition they're in. This is 98% road (London, Kent, S England, US Pacific Coast), one careful 70kg rider. (No crashes!)
Front:
Rear:
Zero flats.

Was looking at land cruisers, coz they are dirt cheap, but fookin ell, how heavy?
When did gravelking sk get to nearly £40?
@mattioats it would appear brown wall gravelkings land mid April. -

Thanks and thanks @amey and @Brookly_Bay - a bit like the RAF I have ordered some less sexy but more practical Voyagers, although I think mine will turn out to be much better value than those Airbuses. The Bon Jon's were £85 for a pair - on the rare occasion I order expensive tyres I seem to end up regretting it, there's a lesson there.

I'm happy with my Bon jons so far but only have about 200miles of London/Essex road, canal and parkland pottering miles so can't give any real feedback yet.
They gripped enough on muddy, wet grass all the way round the top of the flood defences at Bradwell so no complaints.
They obvs don't look like they'll last like a pair of ribmos tho!Had a go on a pair of 700x41 knards at the weekend, just on road but surprisingly nippy.

voyagers have more/better grip

I'll try and peel mine tonight and let you know.

I'm happy enough really. I think I've had about four p*******s in total so far, all fairly recently. I'm just going to have the Voyagers in hand in case as they're so cheap.

Exciting. Thanks boss

Can anyone comment on the effective width of Gravel King 32s?
:)
