Sweet, cheers

Do the 27mm Paves actually come up as 27mm on normal width rims?
-
• #2804
define normal width
my 27mm paves come out at 28mmish on a 18/23mm DTSwissR24edit: actually don't think there would be real benefit vs 25mm, depends what pressure you run in them.

Thanks for the advice @amey and @edscoble. Unfortunately I've had bad luck with grand/ultra sports and contis in general. @umop3pisdn – that is a ridiculous suggestion
@TM and @JB – gravel kings and paselas are a great shout, I might end up with the Paselas because I was thinking gumwall (for absolutely no reason). I really need to keep the pair under £40 though :( If I do end up getting the stradas in 32 I'll report back

So cheap so good!

The difference in ride between paselas and gravel kings, well they're incomparable.
Also gumwalls >>>>>
Your biek tho

Schwalbe One on my road bike: any reason not to?
-
• #2809
nope

Nope

• #2811
tubeless, yes. Clincher, no.
-
• #2812
Why are you even considering putting road tyres on your Pomp?!?

• #2813
I thought it had to be super cold and wet and a muckfest to ride bikes in the woods?
-
• #2814
-
• #2815
Why not clincher? It's what I'm running and everything's fine so far.
-
• #2816
Just a bit fragile.
-
• #2817
Fair enough. I'm only about 500 miles in on these but no issues so far, even running them (accidentally) as low as 45psi with my 100kg on 'em.
-
• #2818
I've been using them tubeless and they're brilliant, but I've used many Ultremos and the like as standard clinchers and none have survived the lanes of Hertfordshire.
-
• #2819
Thunder Burts... Thoughts?
-
• #2820
Opposite of my experience. Not had any wear issues with Ultremo or One clinchers, can't remember the last time I had a puncture (touches all wood available)

What tyres for crabon clinchers? Open Corsa SC II? I have GP4ks and they have been excellent but will likely keep them for my alloy wet weather set. Something quick for the summer. Can't afford the new G+ things really.
It's a matte black bike so considering gumwalls for tumblr points too.
-
• #2822
GP4ks.
-
• #2823
Summer and clincher and carbon and quick and gumwall? Veloflex (Master), older Corsa SC (non G+ are closeout items). GP4000S2 transparent is not quite gumwall-- but a nice tyre. Might also try to find some NOS Paribas.
-
• #2824
Ooh the GP4K transparent might be a shout. Only comes in 23mm but perhaps that's good - don't 23mm + aero, wide rims = winning?

The fattest tyres you can jam in.
Whoop, you're right, found folding one for a little over £20 still;
