@amey I found Paselas quite slow and not very supple. Especially on narrow rims (ran them for a short time on a set of open sport rims) FWIW my current wheelset on the commuter is open pros and 25mm GP4000 s and they're fine. Pave's are the best though if you can find them on offer.

Not really, They have lasted and ride well so why not? I also do long rides on them too.

Well, they are meant to be race tyres. I keep mine for 'proper' riding but if they last then yeah I guess why not.

They're a bit of an achievement, almost as quick as a proper race tyre but very tough. I don't commute on them but I would.

A lot of my customer love the Verdestein tri comp fortezza's. Never tried them myself but they seem decently light and going by there comments punctures are few and far between. When I tried the conti 4 seasons I had nothing but trouble. Wrecked on set of tyres withing 25 miles and both had to be changed due to big holes. Numerous sidewalls cuts and other stuff has put me off. Conti gp4000s tyres have served me well but my favourite tyres are vittoria corsa sc and page's. These simply work well. For winter use I switch to conti competition tubulars and schwable one tubeless. I used to use gatorskin hardshell but the ride they give is horrid even for 25mm tyre. Challange strada bianci 30 mm is one I truly love as it failed to puncture on Paris roubaix and the ride oh my I can hit potholes and barley notice. I will be commuting on these when we move.
To the guy who bought marathon plus tyres if you puncture you are doing well and don't bother fixing it that tyre is so stiff you can ride it flat.

The slow twitch thread results is something I have noticed. I only put latex sealant in latex tubes. It works so so in butyl tubes but generally always works in latex. It hunk it down to how big holes in latex tubes get. They are generally smaller somehow.

Just put these on my bike, Clement Strada LGG after being a diehard Durano user, and after first couple hundred miles, they feel grippier that the Durano, feel more confident on small stretches of cobbled roads around London. Only time will tell about their durability compared to Durano.

a bit early (it would be for a build I want to do over the winter), but as I'm here, I'll ask. Is there a clincher/folder non-tubular tyre with that classic tan/beige wall look? In 25 or 28mm preferably.

I had much better results with an artificial latex (Conti Revo) in butyl than I did with the same sealant in latex - at the time I put it down to the butyl tubed tyre (Sprinter Gator) having a mesh layer that stopped the cut from growing.
Now I wonder.

Well I say holes in latex tubes are generally smaller as I run latex tubes on my race bike with clinchers and most punctures are so small I Can't find the hole so the only way to repair is with sealant. I would expect conti revolution sealant to work better with butyl tubes and on that point I must get some more for my nice tubulars.

I'm another GP4000s commuter. 2500 miles on mine since spring, and the rear is just beginning to square off. I've had one puncture in that time. I'd say that as a summer commuting tyre, they're fantastic. Just a shame that they're so expensive (though I bought my commuting pair off here, barely used, for £20 the pair, which I can't complain about)
I'd say the majority of other bikes that I see on the South West London commuting route are shod with them.

It's funny how people have been saying that they've had better commuter durability from 'race' GP 4000s tires. Maybe it's more to do with pressures? I've ridden pro4 service course 23s at 80psi and had zero puntures, whereas I've destroyed gatorskins at 105psi. Sane routes, same bike
