Search reveals that @tynan actually used that joke 3 times before it was a wildfire success. The first two times it was largely ignored. It needed @saxondale to set it up first.

I don't think we ever got to the bottom of whether @saxondale was unintentionally hilarious, a random troll or an alias. It was the time of rampant aliases.
