Also large = 14??
Not impressed.

kinda normal, no? it's just a label, and at least they do XS and XL.
(thankfully the maroon harrington is not in in a L... I want but a bit pricey. and still can't decide between that and the rain jacket anyway, will have to go for an IRL feel at some point) -

Remember how the men rave on about the Castelli Gabba? they've finally released a women fit version;

Any of you ladies tried the Rapha women's jeans already ? Pricey as usual - but looking so good.

WAT?!
(goes over to have a look) -

(comes back from gandering)
hmmm. not that excited. feel like I've been waiting forever for a good women-specific jeans, but I don't think I like the style, too skinny. still, I'd be up for trying them on some time, maybe they're better on. -

Was quite tempted to give these a go, but then I saw this special women's cycling belt retailing at £80 and left the site in disgust. £80 for a belt, are you shitting me?

You can get a similar one at Liberty for only £60 (same manufacturer-Anderson's)

yeah, but you don't get to pose with the Rapha logo. that's worth, what, an extra £20?
-
• #1036
I'm not sure what's gender-specific about belts, but there's been a men's one around for a while. and also in Team Sky colours only £50.
That one at Liberty is actually really nice.

Still, £50 for a belt?!?

• #1038
I wanted a new belt last year and haven't got one yet as nice (as in, half-decent, not super posh) ones all seem to be £40 and up. Mind, I am quite picky about the buckles.
But then I think about the two belts I wear regularly, both of which I've had for 10 years or more, and I think £50 for a belt ain't so bad. (Currently wearing a cheap Topman belt bought in 1999, when more expensive Italian leather etc ones have disintegrated by the wayside... how to tell?!)

conclusion = plastic is better than leather ?
-
• #1040
it's leather too! unlined, unstitched.
all this talk of woven belts is making me push the button on a DrMarten belt I saw a while ago, sold out in middling sizes, gonna order the XL and have a look at whether I can sensibly cut it down and re-finish the end.

The women's jeans are AMAZING. Try them on, it's like having angels hugging your legs. Although if you don't want skinny then they might not be for you. I however have been looking for the perfect pair of stretchy skinnies for years and they've now fallen into my lap!

I'm also sort of pleased to be able to join the club of having that tell-tale pink piping and fraction of reflective logo showing when I roll them up at the bottom ;)

This thread's proving so helpful.....for creating a fantasy shopping list of all the things I'll most probably never be able to buy. Like a horror movie though, it's hard not to keep watching :/

Hello all. Does anyone have any advice on women's rain jackets? Looking for one for signifcant other. Vulpine looks nice but as mentioned above, a bit pricey. Any other ones around?
-

Quite a few of us (me and Pops for starters) bought the ladies Chrome jacket mentioned a few pages back.
I bought it on the strength of whoever initially wrote the glowing review and I've got nothing but praise for it. A well fitting, not too sweaty/clammy ladies specific, actually waterproof jacket. Been trying to find summat like that for years!
e2a it was Ecunard who alerted us (thanks lady!) and it was the Chrome Pasha

I finally did get the Vulpine trousers. Parcel was wIting for me on the doorstep on my return from off roading in the Cairngorms. So I guess I was lucky they were still there! They feel great. Size small fits me. Just. Very comfortable. Haven't really worn them anywhere yet as the weather has been too warm in a London since I got back and still in my Marks and Spencer stretch denim long shorts, which I almost lived in this summer, apart from when I had to wash them, or was doing a longer or harder ride.

Re - rapha jeans
Black ones don't have the reflective. Client service said the designers decided on not having reflective logo on the black because of too much contrast - how ever the next batch, coming in 6 months or so, will have it.
mec when we seeing u at drinks again?! :)
