this is a long stretch but have you tried getting in contact with youtube or something? They might reply, never know, and probably will help you?

I was gunna say have you tried IE but having read your first post about trying different browsers I had assumed youd tried it already

I dont even have a YT acct, if I cant fix it I just wont bother, maybe its a site thing? others have had some similar experiances

Make sure your browser isn't running as well. Shouldn't need a reboot to install flash, just a browser process restart.

ok, done all that, uninstalled-reinstalled twice,rebooted and still the same. Grrrrrrr

Assuming your Java is up to date....
Un-install Flash player using the proper Adobe un-installer.
Go to Adobe site.
Click to install flash player 10...but DON'T run it....SAVE it to your computer somewhere.
COMPLETELY exit browser.
Go to location of saved flash player.
Run the installer.
Then go back to you tube and it should play.

It worked for me, but strangely only if i go to youtube through Chrome....doesn't work if i go through I E ?
