Are they michelin gator skins? If they are your probably doing something wrong as I've not had a puncture with them on my bike for about a year and a half.

Armadillos are also pretty resilient, but don't ride em in the wet... corners, drains: slippy slipp smash face....

have you managed to drag yourself to the bike and find out what tyres you have yet - I ran Michelin Krylions and lithions for ages with no probs at all

slightly intrigued as to why you feel that the cycle shop you went into had any bearing on the amount of punctures you had?

Conti's rule. Have them on every bike i have... except some. but i have lots of bikes.. and the bikes that don't have them, don't for a reason... I did just order more today for one bike that doesn't. It will. then more will have conti's...

take the tyre off and triple check the outside and inside for anything (even really small) that might be poking through.

also make sure your inflating to the right psi. this will be on the side of your tyre. normally 120 for 700 -28
