  • not sure my woman would be too happy about that one. I think the perk is I get two days off in the week from looking after foreign kids and having to do sports with them. I do lose my weekends though, so its not really a great perk.

  • Fat Joe, I might be up for scoping some of this route with you (doing the bits I know) if you are trying it over the next couple of weekends - drop me a "p-m"

  • Cheers for the offer arvy, that would be a big help to me. I'm out of town this weekend but I will definately be in touch next week and hopefully we could do some route planning next weekend if that suits you.

  • Thanks again for the help on this one guys, I did this route on sunday as it was my first weekend working at heathrow. It was about 22 miles and it took me about 1 hour 40 minutes. My route went greenwich, deptford, new cross, peckham, camberwell, over Vauxhall Bridge, then along the river till I met the A4 around hammersmith and just followed it up to heathrow.

And Matt, you were right, that tunnel to terminal 1,2 and 3 does make you go dam fast, I did notice while going through that there was also a lack of air to breath in that tunnel.

  • Thats a pretty damn long commute to do everyday.
You might be an inspired guy..
    Keep it up!!

  • I was looking for some tip to get to heathrow by bike, and this helps a lot.
Planning to go on Saturday, bit scared as a person who haven't cycled out of central London.
    Hope I won't get lost!!

  • dont say heathrow is out of london.. i live here/there

  • picadilly line does not a london location make....
