Was speaking to one of the dads from firstborns nursery and he mentioned having an interest in northern soul.
Apologies if this has been mentioned and linked to before. But what are the recommended films and documentaries about northern soul, for him to do a bit of viewing?Thanks in advance.

The only half decent look at Northern Soul I can think of is the Culture Show documentary
Films. SoulBoy is a passable attempt at capturing the Wigan Casino vibe, but it's pretty cheesy with a very weak plot to be honest

A collection of "irreplaceable" singles has been stolen from the home of a popular Northern Soul DJ.
Ted Massey said burglars broke into his Birmingham home, demanding he hand over the records he had played during a set earlier in the day.
The stolen collection, built up over many years, is estimated to be worth between £150,000 and £250,000, he said.
The rarity of the tracks, he added, would make them "unsellable on the open market". -
