Anyone got any good suggestions for a decent, but reasonably priced, pair of basketball shoes. Also I good basketball or two for using on outdoor courts.
I've been using Nike Dunks and Terminator Supreme Courts for general use, but I'm not sure they'll be any good for actual action on the court!
Open to new suggestions on shoe front!
Here's the ball I've got. Just a cheap one to chuck about outdoors -

^ I don't think I've posted many messages that only contain 'Ha!', but that was definitely a 'Ha!' posting moment.

Anyone following the NBA playoffs this year?
Am off to Chicago next week and have tickets to Game 7 of Bulls vs Wizards. assuming it goes to 7 games.
Seeing the bulls play will fulfill a childhood dream of mine (albeit not with quite the same lineup granted) but it feels odd willing the series to get to 3-3 just so it happens.

It’s the playoffs and this thread is dead.
Great read by Kirk Goldsberry who was also on The Lowe Post this week.

^woah
During the 2018- 2019 regular season, NBA shooters made 27,955 3-point shots. That's more than they made during the entire 1980s (23,871).

I'm a divisive fan so I have some pretty clear cut battle lines in who I'm following.
I'm ecstatic Lebron missed the playoffs as I feel he cheapens his game with his flopping/acting/moaning antics and I'm a bonafide hater
In the current series my preferred results would be (Winner first vs knocked out)
Sixers vs Raptors (Butler is still one of my favourite modern players after his time with the Bulls)
Bucks vs Celtics (I just really hate the Celtics)
Nuggets vs Blazers (Don't have a dog in this race worried neither have an answer for the Warriors though)
Warriors vs Rockets (Probably my biggest wish is for a modern playoff final without GS or Lebron but I will happily see the Warriors make it if it means Harden's cheating arse gets knocked out, he is a phenomenal player in a lot of respects but fuck me he cheapens everything with his bullshit antics, he doesn't deserve any nba accolade unless he cleans his game up and the refs stop bailing him out).I tried watching G2 of the Sixers series yesterday but the only feed was toronto's and their guys are more modern bbc than traditional bbc when it comes to impartiality which made me bail halfway through the first quarter. though I just saw the score so will grit my way through as I expect it'll become fun hearing them complain as the sixers go on to win.
Likewise I'll watch the Bucks game 2 to see them defeat the celtics after a very tough to watch game 1 celtics win.
Really though all I care about now is the Zion sweepstakes in 2 weeks or so. Him or Ja Morant would be huge for the Bulls. Fingers crossed.

If I had to guess I’d say: Raptors, Bucks, Blazers and Warriors to the conference finals. Rooting for a Bucks vs Warriors World Series. Quite possibly the last one they might win. KD leaving will be a huge blow. He’s been amazing to watch this season.
Giannis is something else too. What a player.

Holy shit. that shot. the silent crowd, the broadcast mics picking up the thud of the ball bouncing on the rim. the reaction. (trying to avoid any direct game spoilers by being a bit vague here).
Iconic is about the only word I can think to describe it.

Oh, don't worry, I have these vivid dreams about being in the NBA, too. :)

and great example of sportmanship and compassion & vulnerability which surprisingly has been upheld in a lot of places online as a major positive much more than it was used as troll bait (though I purposely ignored the subject on twitter).

Anyone keeping up with the Disney, CoVid, post season. It's really been great, and I'm enjoying Heat, even though I follow the Raptors. Also LeBron Lakers look on for the championship.

Love the nuggets, organically grown through the draft with some real unicorns in jokic and MPJ. Kawhi now appreciates what a great team the raptors were. Jerry west’s clippers not working out in terms of team chemistry is surprising after he masterminded several dynasties. Miami has a great roster with bam jimmy and dragic plus the young shooters. I think Lakers will take it this year, but mavs and nuggets will be the teams to watch for years to come

I wonder if the bucks will keep hold of Giannis? He could go somewhere and link up with another superstar if he isn't convinced they have a shot.
I'm looking forward to the next games, see how they progress.
Also the raptors are a bit like money ball, a good team for the season, but lack the big player they need for a strong post season. They miss Kahwi but it shows that he misses them too.
What do people think of the current NBA draft?
I used to follow NBA news a bit, but I haven't for a few years, really, so if someone could make sense of the current draft, I'd enjoy catching up a bit.
