  • If you try to carry on repairing it, it's just going to spiral out of control.

  • That did spring a surprise on you, eh!

  • quite funny how this is my 1st post ever on this lovely forum and i stumble across this gem of a thread... makes me feel like an expert mechanic. heloooo!

  • You're doing it the wrong way around. You need to remove the bike from the lever.

  • Buy a new bike. Quicker and cheaper. Best bet is a brakeless one.

  • Remove the other lever and this time pay attention to that the fuck you're doing ftw.

  • Buy a new bike. Best bet is a breakless one.

    fixed

  • This thread has me in bits.

  • Wrecked.

    Fixed.

  • Oliver, you have an illness and you need help to brake this cycle of punning behaviour.

  • By hook or by crook!

    Noooooooo! Brakless!!!!

  • Brakless technology only for many times professional cycling.

lol, common sense to the rescue.

  • Just be happy that it is not a Shimano Dual Control...

Don't put a spanner in the works, now.

    That's not completely true.
Shimano has decent exploded views en service instructions. Come together with the parts and are almost all online. They explain exactly how to remove and re-install a lever blade of a brake lever for drop bars. The levers even come with a nice tool to hold the spring in position and an Allenkey to loosen the screw.

That you may have a personal preference for Italian Campag stuff is another cup of tea (/espresso).

  • I'm getting pretty tyred of the puns, you lot just keep pedalling them out

Should probably take a break from it then.
