This should go in the I Confess thread maybe but...
I was looking at a bike in an office and thought, that's not bad, simple, stealthy looking. Then I got talking to it's owner and it was... a Unipack. First one I'd ever seen and to be fair he had changed the wheels but still. It was hard to know what to say either once he uttered the dread word. -

Unipack must be making a fortune, huge profit margin per bike.

the beautiful young woman I saw riding one today could have been beating a small child to death with it and I'd still have married her.

Yesterday I was commenting I had only seen 2 unipacks being ridden, many more being pushed including 2 without chains.
Yesterday evening I was cycling along old st and an idiot riding his unipack was swerving from side to side. Each time I went to overtake he would veer towards me. Was even starting to think about undertaking him (Roxy please forgive me). I decided instead I would just have a word with him at the next set of lights. At that moment his bike promptly shed its chain! All I could do was look at him as I went pass and sarcasticlly say "Hmm, nice". I hope he did not take it as an endorsement of his bike.

Last Sunday while watching the fireworks from London bridge i saw a unipack also being pushed with it's chain hanging off. That's the second one in 2 weeks i've seen being escorted about town due to whats seems to be substandard construction & parts.

pretty much, or even if you try hard, you could find a gem for £60 like this -
To this;
Yes it have a new crank and BB which add up the cost, because the old one was already fucked by me not being inexperience with bike, but the point still stand, find a cheap bike, remove certain part, get new rear wheel, and bob your uncle.
the final cost is - still cheaper than the Unipack even before it has been upgraded with decent compound.
Edscoble, that's a gorgeous bike man!!

Just spotted 4 identical matt black Unipacks with red rims being ridden down North End Road in Fulham by a bunch of youths, all dressed in black, hoods up and wearing black smog masks!
