  • Some aggressive drivers out there this morning letting there frustration get the better of them.

  • and loads of the cunts using their fucking phones behind the wheel. those candy crush levels aren't gonna complete themselves i guess.

  • Much football shorts, pavement riding and Boris bikes. Oh, and mopeds are the new nodders. Modders.

  • mopeds = continental dreamers

  • left H.O.P at 7am and took me 10 minutes longer than usual to get in. Some real snarl ups and saw a few silly cycling moves from people who clearly don't usually ride in... but I've seen much worse.

    Hopefully better tonight!

    More like continental drifters.

  • #earlybirdgetstheroad

Got up at 3.45h. Now in bus lane in Old Street

  • left morden at 6.50am commute was about as busy as if i'd left at peak time (about 8am usually) gridlocked pretty much the whole way in.

good to see so many cyclists but I wish they'd ride with a touch less reckless abandon, bus starts stopping in front of me = slow a little and shoulder check to go around him = 30 cyclists zoom past on either side and all try to squeeze into a half foot gap at once.

the biggest annoyance is the dickheads on london bridge who drive up the central lane then try to filter in on the right at the north side of the bridge but no cunt will let them in as they're being massive twats so they end up blocking both lanes and then buses finish the job and the bridge becomes totally impassable because a few addlee cunts dont believe they need to queue like everyone else.

  • set off last night
slept at the halfway point on a quiet stretch of cs2 at about 3am
the blue paint was quite warm after the sun yesterday
packed up camp at 5am this morning and joined the push for the summit
    now approaching aldgate
    supplies low
sherpas have left me right in the lurch

    send help

  • :)

  • Was surprise of the lack of people queuing at bus stop this time round with the tube strikes, tbh though on the road today was the usual traffic spots from east to west, so part 1 of commuting seems to be alright.

But I do actually dread cycling from west to east now as from previous experience traffic seems to be much worst in this direction and a lot more people keeps poping out of standing traffic! =/

  • high point of the commute (in terms of amusement solely for myself) was when this came on my playlist and was blasted out of my portable speaker as I was riding up broadgate surrounded by about 5 boris bikers. totally worth the effort of ripping and uploading to my phone.

BORIS BIKE (German Whip Parody) - Vuj, KSI, Klayze, JME - YouTube

  • Kings X looked very busy. So did some bus stops. More fluoro than usual. Not enough caffeine in my system...

  • Left home about 9, the roads (admittedly my commute is all A roads) were like a car park with the occasional clear road when you could get round the bus blocking the bus lane. Only one minicab tried to kill me though so went quite well.

Most notable among the cyclists that were out was the way a lot weren't thinking more than about ten feet ahead of them. Spot a gap, go for it, now in the wrong lane/vehicle up ahead of me not moving/lane ends/etc what do I do now?

  • Some people on fancy bikes with absolutely no road sense. I wonder when/where/if they ride the rest of the year?

  • on turbo like hippy

  • Except I ride more of Britain in a day each weekend than they ride in a week.

I reckon they're like golf clubs, treadmills, etc and just take up space in the garage until they get a weird urge or there's a tube strike.

  • It seemed like last night there was an alleycat on last night and every nodder was a part of it. Part two coming up, brace yourselves.

  • One in particular stood out - a guy on a bare Ti/purple paint Litespeed with the cleanest cassette I've ever seen was filtering ahead of me. After taking different filtering routes he pulled out in front of me from between cars about four or five times without so much as the slightest glance backwards. He had no idea I was there.

  • I plan on commuting halfway home to southeast's then holing up (no euph) there until it all blows over.

  • I stopped behind a bus, which was stopped at a red light... and some nodder crashes in to the back of me.

"I didn't know you were going to stop!"

How many more visual cues do you need, you fucking idiot?!

  • seriously? are you all that bothered by what other people do on their bikes to the point where the slightest deviation from what you consider acceptable is worth posting about on the internet, presumably to prove to the rest of us how O fucking G you are? we all seem to have made it in in one piece in spite of the apparent flourocalypse out there.

people are on their bikes because they are making an effort to get to work and back rather than piling in their cars and clogging up the roads or taking a crafty day off. good on 'em, lets hope they keep it up.

cowboy the fuck up will you?
