  • Nancy is my daughters name. She is not Tynan.

    Nips up stairs to check.

  • What are people from Niger called?

    Nigerien.

  • if you rearrange the letters in TYNAN you get NANTY which is only one letter away from *NANCY. *

Sounds like he's one of those homisexualists!

    eggings too good for him…

    Lies, all racist lies.

Daddy, why did you bring me up as a lady baby ?

  • I blame it on the eggs.

  • Daddy, why did you bring me up as a lady baby ?

Mainly because I am a boy named Sue.

*Nice to see at least one person here who realises that many anti-fascists are also anti-democracy.

As to his election, don't blame Griffin, blame the Northern scum who elected him. He's an unpleasant little prick, but nobody was forced to vote for him, so one assumes that there are tens of thousands of equally (or more) unpleasant pricks oop noorth.*

Oh dear. Are these* really* your fully-formed thoughts on the subject?

Thank goodness for the quote button so I can be reminded now and then why I clicked ignore on you so very long ago.

  • hang on a second. you're talking as if you honestly believe that throwing eggs at him has done some sort of...good? are you completely fucking mental or have i just misread your post?

The vain in which you post was worded suggested that you were questioning why people would bother doing anything at all ... somebody obviously thought throwing an egg at the fucker would achieve something (it got onto the national news) ... at least they didn't sit on their arse and do jack all as many (like myself) would.

It is certainly true that many anti-fascists are also anti-democracy (by necessity), and I am sure they would struggle to say otherwise.

It is also true that the BNP polled better in the North than in the South - and historically this has always been the case.

What part of what mitre_tester said do you think is wrong ? (genuine question.)

  • ... somebody obviously thought throwing an egg at the fucker would achieve something (it got onto the national news) ...

As much as I love a good egging, I thought it made the BNP's critics look a little piteous.

It always looks bad when you stymie what someone has to say and pelt them with eggs rather than challenge their ideas.

The BNP can appear to walk away from this as a victim.

Censorship of a view, however you deliver it, is not good for politics.

  • False dichotomy, an almost perfect example, well done, not easy to achieve.

I am usually pretty much keep myself out of most protests because I don't really give a shit about the issues involved and people doing silly things like holding their bikes up above their heads at CM.

However Ross going on about Anti-BNP protests etc not achieving anything .. the idea I am pretty sure is to try to convince people not to vote for BNP candidates. They may not achieve anythng, but the idea is that they are and obviously someone thought it might work .. like many things you won't know whether it will work until you try it. At least someone is making an effort, even if it is misguided.

Unfortunately Tynan, not everyone understands what a dichotomy is, or that the BNP have the right to run for an election etc. etc. However the people who are organising this know these guys are racists and I wanna make sure that people know about it, whether that is throwing eggs or protesting outside their offices or marching down the street.

  • Unfortunately Tynan, not everyone understands what a dichotomy is,

Look it up bitch, it's a fucking word, not a degree course.

    :P

Yeah, I see a lot of this, especially from politicians - "people are stupid and they don't know what they are voting for - we need to throw eggs to inform these Northern idiots about what the BNP is."

    The truth ?

People are generally not idiots and tend to know who and what they are voting for . . . and hold on to your chair for this next shocker - a percentage of British people are racist ( good grief !! this is news !!) . . . and throwing eggs at a BNP member achieves little other than to make the attackers look ineffective and without the conviction to meet the BNP's silly agenda with sound argument.

The problem is Tynan, the guys that did vote for them are racist, they blame all the problems in their life on other people usually whichever ethnic group they don't like or have been in the press the most in the last few months, It used to be Pakistanis and now the Polish. I have four step siblings which are like this and I used to play pool with guys like this on a tuesday night. I know the type.

I specifically remember the guy driving us (who bragged about his theiving antics), telling me that immigrants should have to pay for their education of their children and that they are stealing by not paying ... I told him that the government doesn't make them pay and I wouldn't expect that he would pay for something when he didn't have to. Apparently they were still directly stealing his money.

My other favourite is "stealing our jobs" argument ... like there are polist people (the lastest stealing our jobs scapegoat) ram-raiding the job agency.

Sensible debate doesn't come into it with these people, they won't listen and they don't want to. I am guilty of similar, to a lesser degree.

  • Look it up bitch, it's a fucking word, not a degree course.

I did actually look it up, I was making a point.

  • I did actually look it up, I was making a point.

Speaking on behalf of the stupid people who cannot look it up ?

  • However Ross going on about Anti-BNP protests etc not achieving anything .. the idea I am pretty sure is to try to convince people not to vote for BNP candidates. They may not achieve anythng, but the idea is that they are and obviously someone thought it might work ..

And I think Ross was making the point that he thought it was unlikely to work. I agree with him in that respect.

If any sane person thought that throwing eggs at politicians might convince people not to vote for them Parliament square would be knee deep in egg shell.

It isn't, the idea is misguided.

  • i blame it all on Chris Crash

    Chris Crash the rcahist ?

  • And I think Ross was making the point that he thought it was unlikely to work. I agree with him in that respect.

I don't doubt it is unlikely to work, however not everyone will exercise proper judgement.

  • Sensible debate doesn't come into it with these people, they won't listen and they don't want to.

I don't think anyone is suggesting they should be debated out of their position, public debate informs the public, it exposes ideas and views to the public, it's function is not the change the BNP but to challenge their ideas.

Shouting at them and throwing a few eggs does nothing.

  • I don't doubt it is unlikely to work, however not everyone will exercise proper judgement.

    Agreed !

  • Just curious, but how many posters/members here actually bothered to vote??

I almost tore up my ballot paper when I realised the dear old 3rd Earl of Harrow was not represented.

I went for the Christian Party Christian Peoples Alliance.

The gays, the blackies and the atheists - we need to deal with them all, so when we get to heaven we don't get fucked over by Jesus and his bastard dad.

Were all the ballot papers the same, everywhere ? My one was massive, like a comedy ballot paper.

  • My main concern is that people who I imagine would have the same views as the BNP (and are likely to vote for them) won't be interested in any sensible debate on any subjects which I tried explaining in an (clumsily) earlier post .

My imaginations of the stereotypical BNP supporter are of course probably not entirely accurate, and is based on a rather small sample of people I have personally met.

    I didn't vote .. then again I don't agree with any party's policies.

Which I find is a bit sad that so many are racist. I just don't understand it. Anyway it is 3.00am off to bed.

  • If they really wanted to piss him off they should have thrown chocolate eggs at him...
