  • Rest days are boring. Those lazy fuckers should ride through..

  • today is dead time, roll on tomorrow

  • Tell me about it. Back in the office after a week in France.. hundreds of emails to sort through and the tour isn't even on to keep my occupied with something useful!

  • yeah, eurosport could at least cover andyp climbing ventoux today - what's wrong with them

  • While the eurosport are searching for andyp today.. check out descent of ventoux on street luge

Oh yeah. Nigel, one of the guys in our Tour des Pyrenees was doing Etape today as well.

    Good luck guys!

  • Bloody hell, it's the tour de france not 300..

That video was a little too Hollywood blockbuster for my liking.

  • Slowww.... I posted that this morning....

There are five espisodes (one has Cav in) here: http://www.versus.com/graphicnovel

  • Cav is such a little bitch. Thor is a much better all rounder and even if it wasn't for Cavs DQ thor would still be leading the green comp.

Also, hate to be a doubter but did anyone think Contador rode like he was drugs, he wasn't even breathing heavily after the stage and last time we saw crushing victories like that they were from Rasmussen, Kohl, Basso, Landis. Anyone see the trend?

  • racing well != doping

  • Racing well for Astana may = doping ;)

  • Personally, I'll wait for a positive test before passing judement

I fucking love it ... some proper cheese going on.

EDIT: In fact that was fucking awesome ... I wanna see part two.

What does being a good all rounder have to do with winning the green jersey? In case you failed to notice Cav climbed over the Pyrenees and then won another stage. His goal was stage wins. Green would be a bonus.

Thor is a good few years older than Cav and is being blasted out of the water by him and being forced to mop up intermediates and have a sook to gain the advantage. He'd only be in the green by a few points with Cav not relegated.

  • Thor.

  • God of Thunder.

  • perhaps he just has Thrush and a lisp?

  • The dude who writes the BBC livetext is wicked:

**1555: **Now they catch Van Den Broeck as Cancellara puts the hurt on everyone's legs. Armstrong swings hard left and has to dodge the fans as he brings Contador up with him. "The wee lad who rides with Armstrong", as my girlfriend's mum calls him, now ups the pace.

1601: Wee Bert Contador goes under the 4km banner as Carlos Sastre works his way back up to Wiggins, Armstrong, Evans. Bradley Wiggins is still hanging with the biggest names in the sport.

1603: Bradley Wiggins attacks the Armstrong group. Yes, you did read that correctly.

Alex Murray (he's been known to post here, I think, but I shall try not to out him in case he doesn't wish to be outed) is an old mate, a very funny fucker and a nice man. Rides with London Dynamo, with great enthusiasm but no great success.

He has a blog here: http://atomicecho.com/cycling/

  • our man at the Beeb, eh?

    show yourself, Sir.

Tell him his proper random commentary warms my heart ... really it does.

No, he climbed like a natural climber. He climbed like Sastre last year. Its a talent that has been known in the sport for years doping or not. The ability to dance on the pedals at a high cadence to inject bursts of speed is characteristic of great, small, thin, light climbers. This sport has been damaged enough without more rumours without basis. I think (hope) that biological passports and testing have turned the tide. I guess im saying STFU!

I note youre not accusing Cav of doping despite being blatantly faster than all others.

  • Haussler gets some doping allegation even after being consistently good all year but no one mentions Wiggans sudden performance boost? (Yes, I know weight loss, concentrating on climbing blah, I'm just making a point about this 'oh, fast, must be doped' stuff).

They're all on the gear. Happy?

  • No, it's because he's lost the mod haircut.

  • Haha.. yeah true and now he looks like that chook fucker Rasmussen.
