Hang just a cotton-picking minute. The car hit punkpixel and you see this as a misdemeanour on his part? The only thing he's done wrong is apologise for the fact his arm was in the way of an overtaking car.
You got it wrong cowboy...
Ye sorry I misread... Thought he was overtaking the car...
So ye, the car driver's a cock end.

no the car was overtaking me on the left. But I admit I wasn't riding very confident that minute and a bit far to the left being in the middle lane. It was around Aldgate East just after the roundabout. Its quite busy there and I am not too familiar with that area.
Just to add to this. The other day I stopped quite sharp at a zebra crossing to let two women walk pass and one of them started shouting at me like crazy that I 'would not have stopped'. Seem you are even getting abused when you are actually doing the right thing because people seem to know what you possibly 'would have done' instead of what you just did
Anyway, this thread has been highly interesting to read. Just came back from Switzerland (another much more peaceful place in comparison) Maybe I should emigrate. Or Scott's d-lock holder should be a bit looser so I can draw faster...

Was probably a bit too aggressive myself on that one, but really appreciate your response - it's a rarity for someone to hold their hands up and say that.
Props to you.
Assault is an intentional or reckless act that causes someone to be put in fear of immediate physical harm. Actual physical contact is not necessary.
