Aluminium one has Carbon Forks, Ahead setup, pannier bolts, drop brake levers and is lighter.
All reasons which I would choose the aluminium langster.
+1
If you want a modern bike, go for the alu Langster.
If you want something retro, buy an old steel frame.

Jenjen cares, that's who. Or his brother?
-
• #605
Judging by the amount of people on this thread, quite a few =P

Neither has go-faster stripes, so I wouldn't buy either. And whatever you do, don't get it in poo brown.

Getting it in poo brown makes you an extra 3 litres cooler. FACT!

**OTP Langster vs Langster Steel ? **
Neither.....unless you work for Specialized and get a discount.
The Boardman Comp SC is a better, faster bike than the alu Langster, and
the KHS Flite 100 [Black] is better, and much less common than the Langster Steel.
Feel free to disagree.

I'll say it again, Jenjen cares.
Come to think of it, where is Jenjen? Maybe they don't care after all. -

She's probably off handing in the paper she's just finished writing titled 'Fixed Gear Marketing Strategy: Ride Choice in an Aggressive Urban Environment'
or down A+E with her bro who's just faceplanted off his new Unicack.

Buy a bike ride bike, rinse and repeat.

My boss got his Felt Road bike stolen in Stoke Newington (Ice land) Wednesday.
We have been talking about SS for a while anyway and now he needs to get a replacement.
Is this a good bike for this price? We kinda don't have too much of a clue but the reviews look good.
Thanks

Hi MinhDinh, that's a good bike, have a look through this thread as well, lots of choices

Hey Clefty, hope you're well :)
I was searching for that particular thread but navigating on here was difficult for me lol.
Been a lil busy to post on here but actually met a guy at the optician I work at and I spoke about his SS, and I mentioned this site and he says he browses it! I forgot his name but he said it can be quite tough on here, as in dog eat dog I guess :p
One day when I can afford it, I'll get a SS too :)

It's tough as in dog use fucking search, rather than dog eat dog, but don't worry, I think you got away with it. Word of advice, though: get a geared bike. They're better.
