Finally got round to cutting the steerer after lowering my bars a tad in the summer, much tidier.

chris-tim, how you getting on the the deda bars?
I found the track bars that it came with really uncomfortable as I never knew where to put my hands.
Looking for a do-everything bar as I've swapped to risers as they're much comfier for the commute but not so much on longer rides/hills.

They're probably the nicest bars I've had, the track drops that come with the Langster are so rigid. Useless if you don't ride on the track, killed my wrists from all the vibration. If your changing bars I'd say change stem too, that specialised one is gash and quite limiting when it comes to bar position despite the variable shim.

Bar look much better on modern frame than the track one, that's the first modern Langster I liked since the poo brown one.

Thanks Scoble.
I should mention I've now switched to Time Atacs, so much more reassuring that the shimano system I had before.

I'm back on the stock track bars on my Langster after a crash until i can get some new bars sorted.
I forgot how bloody uncomfortable they are.

Hi my bike was stolen from me in Kings Cross on 12 Dec 2013 - Re-sold on Gumtree on Dec 28 (an hour before my arranged meeting to 'buy' it) Possibly seen around Stoke Newington recently..or not. Sorry for stinking up the thread with a stolen bike but you guys are most likley to recognise it around town… Also if you're currently riding it and happened across this thread, I really can't advise strongly enough how benficial it'll be for you to cut your losses before I see you on it.

So this is my Langster just before heading out for a winters ride (hence the lights etc.)
It has served me well and largely been neglected apart from new sets of wheels as they wear out (it's wearing Dolan Navigators in the picture) and a shorter (ITM) stem so it's time for some love. I'll start a thread in current projects.

Can anyone shed any light on the standard size for a 2013 model bb? I'm hopeless at measuring and google is not being friendly.
-

103mm I believe, take it out and have a look. It will say on the BB itself

Did anyone who has fitted Omniums to a Langster find that quite a lot of the BB shell needed facing off? My chain line is way out, it's faced out of the factory but i'm going to have to face a couple of MM more tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me what the difference between the S-Works Langster and the 2010/11 Langster pro?
Was it just a name change? Don't they both use E5 tubing?
Just curious as I'm waiting on a Langster Pro frame to arrive bought from the lfgss classifieds. I got it for what i reckon to be a decent price yet this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-2014-Specialized-S-Works-Langster-Limited-Edition-Frameset-56cm/321379208259?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222006%26algo%3DSIC.FITP%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D22311%26meid%3D6341599337353027770%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D9701%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D321369201096
has a comedy price tag. Fair enough its comes with ec90 track forks but apart from that the frame is identical to the Langster pro no? -

That look like a fake.
Edit - pretty sure it is, they only have standard (look similar to Allez) and the Pro is completely different if you actually have eyes.

Yeah I'll say I also thought that auction looks sketchy. I've never seen that paint scheme before… But not even an idiot would pay that sort of cash when you could pick up a langster pro for 200ish
Any idea on the difference between an s-works and a langster pro?

Yeah currently thats true, there is only a standard and the pro model.
So either way that ebay link definitely isn't a 2014 model.
But in the past there was indeed and s-works langster, i think it was 2008/9
and then in 2010 the lansger pro appeared which was seemingly identical to the previous years s-works!
Cheers Indra. Really happy with it, takes a daily beating well
