Is this bit actually finished now or will it be done after games are over? Will it be free to use/just show up? Or will you need to be a club member or other such formalities?

There's this at the moment. Also you can find a PDF on the same website you can download. Come back in Autumn 2013 (the Cyclopark will open at the end of 2013) and there might be more information available then.

How could you expect to charge anything more than a token membership fee for a 5 mile MTB circuit?

Maybe the mtb circuit will be available to anyone to ride, outside of club sessions and races, though I imagine it will function like redbridge and there will be a modest charge for road circuit and mtb track.

i'd pay a £1 to have a razz round the velodrome on my BMX and a lap of the MTB course on my track bike

Two of us just tried for Paralympic tickets, cycling, athletics and wheelchair rugby. Immediately as soon as they came up on the site.

So, best velodrome in the world set to stand empty for 15 months, despite staff already being in place.
It would take no trouble to provide a temporary access to the velodrome whilst the rest of the site is in construction again.

Why are we accepting this?

I mean, surely they could open just the closest gate and let us get to the velodrome to practise, or even the roadside gate behind the velodrome.
