oh man, don't remind me about the in-fighting with BMX racers.
fuck's sake there wasn't a weekend that went by without someone having a pop at either another rider or the organizer of an event. proper sleeves-rolled-up in the car park stuff

a lot of mountainbikers have a BIG problem with other riders, roadies always. but now fixie kids have given them a whole new target to scream "gay!" at every opportunity.
is there something these men, with a penchant for getting very muddy and wearing armour, want to tell us?
I've done mtb, road, track and bmx and the bmx and track guys are the ones who bitch the least about other types of riding.
+1 MTBers always seem very insure and want to hate on every other form of cycling, downhillers even hate xc riders.
To be fair Richard Cheese is right, it seems that most tribes within cycling hate each other for some reason or other. the insult is universal through, "that's soo gay".

Bike Snobbery is more prevalent in bmx than any other cycling sub-genre, fact. "Oh what they're only Pitchforks not proper Pitchfork XLTS, that must be well shit to ride"
"Shit your bikes well heavy man, I don't know how you peeps can bunnyhop on anything that weighs over 25lbs, my weedy little new skool bmxer body would struggle to get anything heavier off the ground"
Bring back the heavy fucking bikes, bring back the hench dudes that rode them and didn't bitch and cry and throw their bikes when they fell off, bring back Dave Osato, Rick Moliterno, Hoffman etc

Good quote from the comments though:
"Fixies are for dumb people who can't comprehend the benefits of coasting.
They look like retarded circus chimps riding their bikes like that." -

we received this at Rollapaluza Towers a while back, was sent at 20 past midnight so no doubt full of Dutch courage. Hilariously he signed his name and included his regular signature with details of his two businesses (both in BMX).
Seriously!? I have never heard of something so homo in my entire life. That's like lining gays up and making them chase cock across a field. Why the fuck am I even on this mailing list, I want nothing to do with you fucking fixie fag fucks.
Get a life and ride something worth riding

ffff
New phrase coined.
I just don't get why people have to have something they feel is below them to make them feel better about what they are doing.

I pretty much got into cycling through mountainbiking but now class myself as a cyclist as I do a bit of everything. Was in Morzine last year and some MTBers attitude was so annoying. One girl basically had a go at us saying she wouldn't ride an XC bike as she would feel dirty, in a pub these people saw my brother wearing a cycling cap and said something about your just roadies and here to watch that (a stage of the Dauphine Libre finished in the town that day) as if it was a crime, found it a bit pathetic to be honest. I have to say I was against roadies when I was younger (I blame MBUK) but then I turned 13 and grew up!

Well I've locked up my 'fucking fixie fag fuck' bike for the week now and will be off on my 'XC jey-boy-lite' bike next week.
I'm such a cycling pariah.

Haha. "MBUK, propogating hatred of Roadies since day 1" -

I used to love MBUK, then when I started riding street on my mtb I discovered BMX, thats when 8 years of self abuse, crashing and occasionally landing shit began :p, but I still don't get all the hating, too many close minded pricks in the various cycling scenes. I do miss the old skool bmx days though, my all chrome dirt master jump, my OG Terrible one barcode frame, the Rom Skatepark, good times :)

Tracko scanned a Ride BMX mag article that seemed to be super defensive of BMXing and taking a dig at fixed wheel bikes, though dirt jumping a conversion to highlight its inappropriateness seems a little over the top.... are some manufacturers feeling the heat?

That articly was pretty funny, true bmxes are now better than they have ever been.
But lets not forget you close minded ridebmx worker, where all these so called innovations came from, you know all the butted tubing and so called magic "41thermal" and "4Q baked" that you love so dear.
Well then, i'm sure you know where these innovative metals/manufacturing techniques originate from, oh yes thats right....the road and MTB world! You wouldn't have your fancy fucking metals, fluted seat posts, butted handlebars, and your sub 25lb bikes if it wasn't for them, so show a little respect, I don't have a garden, but I only have to look in my living room to find a graveyard of bent broken bike parts!
I love BMX..... but ass wipes like you Ryan Fudger, are Fudging things up for newbies (pun intended!) by making it appear like some invite only elitist scene, which you're not welcome to be involved in unless you have been since the beginning, remove your head from your ass and Jog on son, Jog on. -

I think that partly to do with the fact that the biggest group of BMXers are teenagers, the MTB thing is worse IMO as most seem to be adults in their 20s, 30's 40's acting as teenagers with the "rodies / BMXers /diffrent typre od MTBers, their gay". Thing.

I like the idea of the Singletrack weekender, its like old school MTB events, theres XC, downhill, trials and to win you have to all of them and you can only use 1 bike!
Do the messenger champs still have bunny hop and trials comps? Always looked funny guys doing trials on thier fixed work bikes

Generally speaking they care little for cyclists in respect of their articles/text/etc, their main vendetta's are against the police and TWOCCERS or Car thiefs as we know them :).

Let's have his details.. or reply saying we'd like a "bike off" to see how 'ard this cockbag is or his details go public and subscribed to his favourite (clearly gay) porn sites..
I guess the 14 yo who wrote that is better at tricks me but I'll give him a race and how about some friendly oiled up wrestling just to even it out a bit..my response:
Thanks for your thoughts, we like to get feedback so your comments have been noted.
Rollapaluza pride themselves on inclusion, and the fact that our events are very cross-discipline with competitors from road, track, MTB, BMX and even commuters. Our events are also very popular with female competitors sometimes making up to 30% of entrants, some of our competitors may indeed be homosexuals however we do not ask so I cannot confirm your suspicions I'm afraid. We also have an active schools and community programme.
I have put you on the guest list for our next two events, both next week, in case you'd like to come along and see for yourself what our events are like, of particular interest is the courier champs which is a fund-raiser for a great cause, no doubt some of them would be keen to hear your opinions on roller-racing.
We know who he is, he is far from 14, he has two businesses in cycling.

"Taken Without Owner's Consent"
I used to read Max Power and was into modifying car, thank fuck that stage has passed dramatically (only last a year, after all their meet-up seemed like heavily painted car in a dogging session somewhere in a field at night).

You're such a diplomat winston.
This is why you can run a successful business and I will end up in jail. :)Two businesses and he writes emails like that? Man, I should be minted with my people skills and money-making ideas ;)
